Three WASP swimmers compete at State Games of America

WITTENBERG — Wittenberg Area Swim Program swimmers Kelsie Davis, Ava Hegewald and Reese Dickman competed in the State Games of America at the Liberty University Natatorium in Lynchburg, Virginia from Aug. 3-4.

Davis came in first in all of her events, while Hegewald and Dickman turned in top-20 finishes in all but one event.

WASP will start its fall/winter season in October. Individuals interested in joining the team can contact the Darwin E. Smith Aquatic Center at Center at 715-253-2255.

Kelsie Davis: first, 100 butterfly (1:26.55), 100 backstroke (1:21.13), 200 IM (2:56.72), 50-yard freestyle (29.13), 50-yard butterfly (32.55) and 50-yard breaststroke (36.25).

200 medley (Jaycie Fort, Hope Kadlecik, Larissa Bracken - Texas, Kelsie Davis - WASP), first, 2:37.21.
