Theresa Laverne Parker

Theresa Laverne Parker, 92, died at the Waukesha Memorial Hospital outside of Milwaukee on Sept. 15, 2019. She was born July 30, 1927, in Pulaski.

Theresa resided most of her adult life in the Shawano area. She and her husband, Roland, lived in Shawano early in their marriage while raising their six children, later moving year-round to the Moshawquit Lake area for many years before finally moving to Delafield in Waukesha County to be near family after her husband, Roland, passed.

Theresa was an active member of Sacred Heart Church in Shawano, Saint Michael’s Church in Keshena and the Schoenstatt Movement and Retreat Center in Delafield.

She is survived by her four children, Paul R. Parker, Mary T. (Christopher) Viall and Roland J. (Janis) Parker, all in the Waukesha area, and James R. Parker in Colorado, as well as daughter-in-law, Kathleen Parker. She is further survived by 19 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and her sister, Geraldine O’Brian, in Oxnard, California.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland A. Parker, and sons, Craig R. Parker and Mark R. Parker. She was further preceded in death by her father and mother, Joseph and Veronica Wojcik, and six of her siblings, Joseph, Virginia, Edwin, Bernadine, Loraine and Lenard.

Mrs. Parker was in state at Schoenstatt Sisters’ Provincial House on Thursday at W284 N698 Cherry Lane, Waukesha. There was a mass of Christian burial Thursday in the Chapel of the Provincial House with Schoenstatt Fathers officiating. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery, Milwaukee.
