Shawano claims 5 top finishes at Bay Meet

Shawano boys take 2nd, girls 3rd

The Shawano Community High School track and field team earned five total first-place finishes at the Bay Conference Meet on June 8 in De Pere.

The Shawano boys had two of the top finishes and scored 134 total points to claim second behind West De Pere (233). The girls came in third with 112 points, trailing West De Pere (207) and Xavier (148).

Isabel Roloff was the top finisher in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.9 seconds and pole vault after clearing 11 feet to lead the Shawano girls.

The girls team's other top finish came from the 4x800 relay team of Lydia Beyer, Grace Beyer, Grace Chelberg and Odessa Arce. The team turned in a time of 10:28.53.

Along with the three first-place finishes, the Shawano girls team picked up a pair of second-place finishes.

On the boys side, Shawano's Reef Anthony won the pole vault after clearing 12-6, while Gage Timm had the top leap of 43-½ in the triple jump.

The boys team had four second-place finishers on the day.

Shawano had eight total third-place finishes between its boys and girls teams.
