Shawano boys tennis team has 2 doubles team, 2 singles players advance to sectionals

The Shawano Community High School boys tennis team had two doubles teams and two singles players advance to sectionals after competing in the Division 2 St. Mary Catholic Subsectional on June 7 in Neenah.

Shawano's No. 1 doubles team of Rory Johnson and Nolan Buck and No. 2 doubles team of Josh Bergmann and Tristan Szucs and singles players Joe Mente (No. 3) and Carson Cummings (No. 4) all advanced.

Those six players will take part in the Kohler Sectional on June 9, starting at 8:45 a.m.

Bergmann and Szucs went 2-0 on the day, while Johnson and Buck, Mente and Cummings all needed just one win to advance.
