Shawano boys swim team fails to advance swimmers to state
The Shawano Community High School boys swim team did not advance any individual swimmers or relay teams to state after competing in the Division 2 Ashwaubenon Subsectional on Jan. 30.
Results from the subsectional were combined with the Plymouth Subsectional before final results were determined.
Shawano earned 105 points as a team, placing 10th out of 11 teams between the two subsectionals.
Camden Kroll turned in Shawano’s top individual finish on the day, placing sixth in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1 minute, 3.27 seconds.
Shawano’s 200 freestyle relay team of Brenden Stempa, Jack Reed, Josh Bergmann and Kroll came in eighth in 1:41.84.
Carson Cummings, Ben Langlois, Bergmann and Reed teamed up for an eighth-place finish in the 400 freestyle relay (3:58.85).
