The Shawano Community High School volleyball team had four players receive all-conference honors from the Bay Conference this fall.

Senior Rachel Reed was a unanimous pick to the first team, while senior Freya Dickson landed on the second team. Juniors Margo Gull and Alix Heath made the honorable mention team.

Reed, an outside hitter, finished the season with 91 attack kills, 42 digs, 24 service aces and 16 block kills.

“It means so much to me,” said Reed of the all-conference honor. “This summer and over the years, I have put so much time into volleyball through open gyms, club and lessons. It feels great that everything paid off and I got unanimous first team all-conference!”

Dickson landed on the second team after accumulating 42 attack kills, 40 digs and 16 service aces.

“I have dedicated my life to volleyball, and I’ve always wanted to make my father (James) proud since he passed away before the start of my seventh grade games. And to me, winning the second team all-conference makes me believe that I have made him proud.”

Gull ended the season with 51 digs, 10 assists and five service aces.

Heath tallied 112 assists, 15 digs and 10 service aces.
