School boards accept donations

Several local organizations have made donations to the Oconto Falls and Gillett school districts to assist a variety of programs and activities.

During its regular monthly meeting Feb. 12, the Oconto Falls School Board accepted donations from:

• Panther Wrestling Alumni and Supporters, $2,400 to the high school wrestling program.

• EPAWS, a group of parents and staff working to support Washington Middle School students, $1,500, for a Mind Trekkers STEAM event.

• Crystal Clark of Disruptive Advertising, $1,000 to Holiday Hope through the company’s stewardship program.

• An anonymous $600 donation to support participation at the FFA National Conference.

During its Feb. 15 meeting, the Gillett School Board formally accepted five donations and agreed to send thank you notes to:

• The Wisconsin State Golf Association, for a $1,000 donation to the high school golf team.

• St. John’s Catholic Congregation, for a $750 donation to the hot lunch program and $500 for the National Honor Society.

• The local BP gas station for $822.62 in revenues from its Pride Pump.

• Mirrocraft Inc., for a $500 donation to the trap team.

• The Underhill Sportsmen’s Club, for a $500 to the high school fishing team.
