Ruth Ann Jeffrey

Ruth Ann Jeffrey, age 76, of Suring, formerly of Mountain, passed away on Friday, Dec. 22, 2023.

She was born in Horton, Kansas, on Oct. 20, 1947, to the late Wilbur C. and Nellie E. (Tyler) Monhollon. Ruth Ann graduated from Horton High School with the class of 1966. She attended NEKA Vo-Tech School in Atchison, Kansas, studying clerk typing. Ruth Ann married Robert Jeffrey on Feb. 14, 1981. She worked many jobs including route dispatcher for Lamers Bus Lines on the Mountain end of the Suring School District. She enjoyed reading and studying the Holy Bible, writing, cooking, bird watching and car rides on the back roads.

Ruth Ann is survived by many friends and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert.

Visitation will be held at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. until the memorial service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Andrew Jantz officiating. Ruth and her husband will be interred in Mountain Cemetery in spring.
