Robert F. Jandt

Robert F. Jandt, 83, of Pound, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2019. Bob was born on Sept. 27, 1935, to the late Andrew and Ruth (Holdmann) Jandt in Milwaukee. He lived most of his life in Hartland, attending Hartland Grade School and High School. Bob graduated with the class of 1954. He attended Milwaukee School of Engineering and UW-Milwaukee following high school. On Aug. 16, 1958, Bob married Judith Kingston at Congregational Church. While living in Hartland, Bob was a member of the Hartland Sportsmen Club, American Legion Post 294, and Our Saviors Lutheran Church. Bob served in the U.S. Army for three years during the cleanup of Korea and the first wave of Vietnam. He also served as a volunteer fireman for 35 years and volunteer EMT for 11 years.

Bob and Judith moved to their retirement home in May 2002 on Underwood Lake. Bob was a member of Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Suring, also serving on the church council and as an usher. After retirement, Bob was a member of the Kelly Lake Sportsman’s Club and the Lee Lake and Underwood Lake Conservation Club. He was also a member and past Worshipful Master of the Tri-County Daylight Masonic Lodge 218. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors.

Bob is survived by his wife, Judith, and daughter, Jennifer. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda; and brothers, Edward and Harry.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2019, at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Fred Mai officiating.
