Pamela J. Erickson

Pamela J. Erickson, 69, of Shawano, passed away at her home with her family by her side on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023. Pam was born in Shawano on July 9, 1953, to the late Archie and Vera (Rowe) Schroder. Pam grew up in Shawano and graduated with the class of 1971. She went on to attend the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. On June 30, 1979, she was united in marriage to Andy Erickson. The couple made their home in Shawano and were blessed with two children. Andy preceded Pam in death on March 12, 2014. Throughout her career Pam worked for Red Owl, Valley Bank, and then the Shawano School District until retiring. In her free time, she enjoyed painting and doing other craft work, camping, four wheeling, and spending time with her family and her precious grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her two children, Kate (Mitchell Kaquatosh) Erickson, of Cedarburg, and Ryan (Amanda) Erickson; two granddaughters, Miakoda Foth-Erickson and Adilynn Erickson; one grandson, Logan Erickson; sibling, Janalee (Robert) Carstedt; significant other, Gary Felckowski; sisters-in-law Barbara Erickson, Diane Cerveny and Grace Erickson; brothers-in-law Donald Wurth, Ralph (Cindy Pukall) Erickson and Reuben Erickson. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Pamela was preceded in death by her husband, Andy; father, Archie; mother, Vera; brother, Michael; father-in-law, Carl; mother-in-law, Dorothy; sisters-in-law, Helen Erickson, Karen Wurth and Jean Behnke; brothers-in-law Gary Erickson, Herbert Erickson, Roger Erickson and Charles Erickson.

A memorial service for Pam will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023, at Hope Community Church in Shawano with the Rev. John Anderson officiating. Visitation will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and again at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. A private burial will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank Dr. Bradley and the staff at Froedtert Hospital Cancer Center, Dr. Sharma at the Marshfield Medical Center Oncology, the nurses and staff at ThedaCare Medical Center-Shawano, and ProMedica Hospice for the care that Pamela received during her battle with cancer. They would also like to thank Gary Felckowski and his family for welcoming Pamela into their family with open arms; you brought her so much happiness, and they will always be grateful.
