Packers roster moves (week 4)

The Green Bay Packers signed WR Caleb Scott to the practice squad.

The transaction was announced Wednesday by Brian Gutekunst, the Packers general manager.­­­

Scott (6-foot-2, 203 pounds) is a first-year player out of Vanderbilt University that originally signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent on May 4, 2018, and spent his rookie season on Seattle’s practice squad. He was released by the Seahawks at the start of the 2019 training camp.

In college, Scott played in 44 games with 18 starts for the Commodores, hauling in 67 passes for 1,011 yards (15.1 avg.) and three touchdowns in four seasons. He will wear No. 18 for the Packers.

Packers sign WR Winfree to practice squad

The Packers signed WR Juwann Winfree to the practice squad.

The transaction was announced Thursday by Brian Gutekunst.­­­

Winfree (6-1, 210) is a second-year player out of the University of Colorado that was originally drafted by the Denver Broncos in the sixth round (No. 187) of the 2019 NFL Draft. He appeared in three games for the Broncos as a rookie before being placed on injured reserve on Dec. 14, 2019.

In college, Winfree played 38 games (seven starts) at Colorado (2016-18), Coffeyville (Kansas) Community College (2015) and the University of Maryland (2014). He totaled 115 receptions for 1,643 yards (14.3 avg.) and 13 touchdowns. Winfree will wear No. 88 for the Packers.

Packers place two players on injured reserve

The Packers placed LB Christian Kirksey and WR Allen Lazard on injured reserve.
