Oconto Falls woman arrested on drug trafficking charges

Bail was set at $15,000 cash for an Oconto Falls woman arrested for alleged drug trafficking in her home and three other felony charges.

Nova J. Winans, 20, appeared Tuesday before Oconto County Circuit Judge Michael T. Judge, who set bond and scheduled the balance of her initial appearance for Oct. 17.

The Oconto County Sheriff’s Department said authorities received a tip Oct. 3 about drug trafficking in the city of Oconto Falls, and after further investigation a traffic stop was conducted and a subsequent search warrant executed at Winans’ residence.

According to the sheriff’s office, the searches of the car and home resulted in confiscation of 156.28 grams of methamphetamine, 23.72 grams of MDMA, 63.9 grams of hashish oil, 26.69 grams of marijuana, 3.54 grams of cocaine, illegal obtained prescription medicine, drug paraphernalia, two firearms and U.S. currency.

She is charged with felony possession with intent to deliver amphetamine, designer drugs and THC, maintaining a drug trafficking place and misdemeanor possession of cocaine.

The Oconto Falls Police Department and Oconto County Sheriff’s Department are affiliated with the Northeast Tri-County Drug Enforcement Group and were also assisted by the Brown County Drug Task Force and the Green Bay office of the Drug Enforcement Administration.
