Memorial Field in Oconto Falls will be the site of a Sunday flea market this spring and summer.

Organizer Kevin Sutrick is renting the park for the venture. He told the City Council on April 13 that he has more than 30 vendors lined up for the weekly flea market from May 16 through Sept. 26.

“We got the space. We got the vendors. We have the insurance,” Sutrick said. “Everything’s going real well. I think everybody’s going to be impressed.”

The flea market will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Sunday except May 30, when the park is being used for the Memorial Day Weekend Celebration.

Alderman Kevin Rusch asked if a memorandum of understanding was in place for agreements as to “who’s cleaning up and who’s providing what” for the flea market, beyond the standard city rental agreement for one-day use of facilities.

“There’s no real substitute for print,” Rusch said, making a motion that the city and Sutrick sit down to hammer out such a memo. The council passed the motion unanimously.
