Proceedings of June 1

• Jeremy J. Winter, 38, Coleman, was sentenced to eight years in state prison, followed by seven years of extended supervision, for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, in connection with an incident that occurred March 9. Three related charges were dismissed in a plea agreement. Judge Michael T. Judge ruled that among other rules of extended supervision, Winter must maintain absolute sobriety, have no contact with anyone who uses, sells or possesses illegal drugs, and complete all assessments, counseling and treatment deemed necessary by his corrections agent.

• An Oct. 18-20 jury trial was scheduled for Stuart Lee Long, 37, Cecil, on charges of burglary and misdemeanor theft, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred June 12, 2020. A final pre-trial conference was scheduled for Sept. 18.

Proceedings of May 30

• Walter J. Kuranda Jr., 53, Oconto Falls, pleaded no contest to possession of methamphetamine in connection with an incident that occurred March 20. Judge scheduled sentencing for July 26 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

• Michael David Bartlett, 28, Wisconsin Rapids, pleaded no contest to substantial battery in connection with an incident that occurred Nov. 5. Judge scheduled sentencing for July 26 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

• Matthew Anthony Seal, 42, Townsend, pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of an ignition interlock violation and operating a motor vehicle while his license was revoked, in connection with an incident that occurred Dec. 1. Judge dismissed a felony bail jumping charge but read it into the record as part of a plea agreement and placed Seal on one year of probation.

• After a preliminary hearing, Matthew J. Slye, 33, Oconto, was bound over on charges of possession of narcotic drugs, possession of methamphetamine, three counts of felony bail jumping and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 8. Arraignment was scheduled for June 15.

• After a preliminary hearing, Joaquin Julian Alba, 28, Gillett, was bound over and pleaded not guilty to intimating a victim by threatening force, strangulation and suffocation and false imprisonment, along with misdemeanor counts of battery, endangering safety by the use of a dangerous weapon, criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 17. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for June 14.

• Rhett M. Glime, 37, Lena, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to victim intimidation through use of force, strangulation and suffocation, substantial battery and misdemeanor disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 19. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for June 15.

Proceedings of May 26

• Christopher J. Robinson, 35, Oconto, was sentenced to 18 months in prison, followed by two years of extended supervision, for possession of methamphetamine and a misdemeanor count of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (first offense), in connection with an incident that occurred Feb. 7, 2022. Judge ruled the sentence is consecutive to any other sentences Robinson is currently serving. Robinson is eligible for the Substance Abuse Program, which can lead to early release upon successful completion. Judge gave Robinson credit for 127 days already served in the county jail.

• Taylor N. Nowinski, 21, Abrams, was placed on two years of probation after a prison sentence was imposed and stayed for possession of amphetamine, in connection with an incident that occurred Jan. 12, 2022. Judge Jay N. Conley ruled that among other conditions, Nowinski must serve 120 days in the county jail, maintain absolute sobriety, have no contact with anyone who uses or sells illegal drugs and comply with any assessment/counseling/treatment deemed necessary by her corrections agent.

• Heidi Barbara Dorow, 39, Lena, pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of victim intimidation and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that occurred Nov. 13, 2022. Conley withheld sentence and placed Dorow on two years of probation, beginning with 10 conditional days in the county jail. A felony charge of second-degree reckless endangerment was dismissed in a plea agreement. Conley ordered restitution of $16,238.70 plus surcharges totaling $18,755.70 and scheduled a restitution hearing for July 21.

Proceedings of May 25

• An arrest warrant was issued for Isaiah Malik Stewart, 27, Marinette, after he failed to make his initial appearance on charges of possession of THC (second and subsequent offense) and misdemeanor counts of bail jumping and possession of a concealed weapon, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Feb. 19.

• An arrest warrant was issued for Jordyn Tigh Carr, 29, Fond du Lac, after he failed to appear to face a charge of possession of THC (second or subsequent offense), in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 16.

• Samantha Jane Holderman, 44, Manitowoc, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to felony bail jumping and misdemeanor charges of battery, theft, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 14. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for June 15.

• A $10,000 signature bond was authorized for Justin James Huncosky, 19, Suring, after he was charged with second-degree sexual assault of a child, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Feb. 1. His initial appearance was adjourned until June 15.
