Proceedings of July 16

Joshua Alexander Schmidt, 25, Oconto Falls, was placed on three years probation after a prison term was imposed and stayed for attempted second-degree recklessly endangering safety in connection with an incident that occurred Jan. 8. Judge Michael T. Judge ruled that during probation Schmidt must maintain absolute sobriety and undergo a psychological evaluation, following through with any recommendations.

Olivia P. Francois, 21, Oconto, pleaded guilty to burglary in connection with an incident that occurred Dec. 16. Judge Jay N. Conley scheduled sentencing for Nov. 2 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

Tambra A. Hrabik, 41, Oconto, was placed in the Volunteers in Probation program for 18 months for the attempted straw purchase of a firearm on Sept. 29, 2019.

Proceedings of July 15

A bench warrant was issued for Daryl L. Upton, 42, Cecil, after he failed to appear for a pre-trial conference on charges of felony bail jumping and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Dec. 20.

A bench warrant was issued for Andrew E. Mahers, 33, Pound, on charges of possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor counts of possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 21. He was scheduled to be arraigned and enter a plea but was in the Marinette County Jail after being arrested on similar charges June 21.

David R. Smith, 54, Oconto, stood mute and not guilty pleas were entered on his behalf to charges of fleeing an officer, operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (fifth or sixth offense), two counts of bail jumping, and misdemeanor operating while revoked, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 16. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Aug. 16, at the same time as a final pre-trial conference on an earlier charge of OWI, in connection with an alleged Jan. 4, 2019, incident. A jury trial remains on the court calendar for Aug. 31.

Brianna Rose Balfantz, 20, pleaded not guilty to felony bail jumping, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 26. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Aug. 12 along with a status conference on burglary and misdemeanor theft charges from an alleged Feb. 17 incident.

Steven L. Anderson, 60, Suring, pleaded not guilty to charges of fleeing an officer in a vehicle and a misdemeanor count of operating while revoked, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Feb. 26. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Aug. 12.

Jordan D. Hall, 34, Green Bay, pleaded not guilty to charges of felony possession of THC (second or subsequent offense) and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 25. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Aug. 12.

An Oct. 21-22 jury trial was scheduled for David L. Reignier, 36, Oconto Falls, on two counts of strangulation-suffocation, victim intimidation by use of force, false imprisonment, and misdemeanor counts of battery and criminal damage to property, in connection with three incidents that allegedly occurred in April. A final pre-trial conference was scheduled for Oct. 7.

Jason J. Samsa, 34, Oconto Falls, pleaded not guilty to two counts of felony bail jumping and one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 20, as well as three counts of bail jumping, possession of narcotic drugs, possession of methamphetamine, possession of THC, maintaining a drug trafficking place, and misdemeanor charges of resisting or obstructing an officer (two counts), disorderly conduct, and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred June 9. A motion hearing was scheduled for Sept. 7.

Bond was set at $5,000 cash for Travis R. Bolssen, 43, Green Bay, after he was charged with repeated sexual assault of the same child. The balance of his initial appearance was scheduled for Sept. 16.

Proceedings of July 14

Julie A. Harteau, 63, Coleman, was placed on two years of probation after a prison term was imposed and stayed for possession of amphetamine (second or subsequent offense), in connection with an incident that occurred Jan. 18. Judge ordered Harteau to maintain absolute sobriety during probation, including no entry into any establishment where the main purpose is the sale of alcohol.

Eraster T. Smith, 41, Milwaukee, pleaded guilty to stalking, in connection with an incident that occurred Feb. 18, 2019. Conley scheduled sentencing for Oct. 7 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

Tracey Lee Bartlett, 59, Oconto, pleaded no contest to two counts of possession of child pornography, in connection with an incident that occurred Jan. 27, 2020. A number of other charges were dismissed but read into the record. Conley scheduled sentencing for Oct. 6 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

Tallie Marie Sheldon, 23, Menominee, Michigan, pleaded no contest to two misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that occurred June 12, 2020, and was placed on a year’s probation. The charges were reduced from a felony in a plea agreement.

Bradley D. Schulte, 26, Oconto, pleaded no contest to possession of methamphetamine, in connection with an incident that occurred Nov. 8. Judge scheduled sentencing for Oct. 5 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

Shawn R. Schleis, 47, Suamico, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (fifth or sixth offense), in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 24. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Aug. 13.

John Fusek, 49, Oconto, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to circuit court on charges of possession of methamphetamine (second and subsequent offense), fleeing an officer in a vehicle, and misdemeanor counts criminal trespass to a dwelling and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 24. Arraignment was scheduled for Aug. 12.

Bond was set at $3,000 cash for Hunter Joseph Schaden, 19, Oconto Falls, after he was charged with first-degree child sex assault, causing a child under 13 to view/listen to a sex act, child enticement for sexual contact, and another felony, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Jan. 1, 2015. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Sept. 7.

Proceedings of July 13

Christine Rivers, 53, Appleton, pleaded no contest to operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (fourth offense), in connection with an incident that occurred Nov. 16, 2019. Judge scheduled sentencing for Sept. 7 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

James Matthew Watermolen, 37, Green Bay, pleaded no contest to possession of narcotic drugs, in connection with an incident that occurred March 13. Judge scheduled sentencing for July 27 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

Jordan Richard Brisson, 28, Green Bay, was placed on one year of probation for reckless child abuse in connection with an incident that occurred Feb. 15, 2019. Judge ordered that Brisson enter into and successfully complete all treatment deemed appropriate by the Department of Corrections.

A 12-person jury trial was rescheduled for Sept. 14 for Justin J. Coppens, 31, Gillett, who is charged with possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a felony, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Oct. 6, 2018, and bail jumping for an incident that allegedly occurred March 21, 2019. A final pre-trial hearing was scheduled for Aug. 27.

A jury trial was rescheduled for Oct. 19 for Andy Miles Carpenter, 38, Menasha, who is charged with bail jumping, substantial battery intending bodily harm, and misdemeanor disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred July 2, 2019. A final pre-trial conference was scheduled for Oct. 7.

Tara L. Dehut, 33, Oconto, was placed on two years probation after a prison term was imposed and stayed for maintaining a drug trafficking place, in connection with an incident that occurred Oct. 27. Conley ordered that Dehut maintain absolute sobriety during her probation; complete an alcohol and other drug abuse assessment and follow through with all recommended treatment; complete all assessments, counseling and treatment deemed necessary by her agent; continue with all current treatment and recommendations; and have no contact with Roy L. Boucher.

Roy L. Boucher, 32, Oconto, pleaded no contest to maintaining a drug trafficking place (second and subsequent offense), in connection with an incident that occurred Oct. 27, and misdemeanor bail jumping, in connection with an incident that occurred March 15. Conley scheduled sentencing for Sept. 14 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

Dimitri J. Kiutacheff, 38, Chicago, pleaded not guilty to possession of narcotic drugs, possession of methamphetamine, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 6. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Sept. 16.

Joshua Michael Peters, 32, Menominee, Michigan, pleaded not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect to three felony counts of battery or threat to a law officer, battery to a nurse, three counts of throwing or discharging bodily fluid at a public safety officer, and misdemeanor charges of resisting or obstructing an officer, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 16. A status conference was scheduled for Aug. 12.

Proceedings of July 12

Michael A. Renner, 43, Marinette, pleaded no contest to possession of methamphetamine, in connection with an incident that occurred Nov. 17. Conley scheduled sentencing for Sept. 13 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

Joey E. Kingsley, 40, Oconto, pleaded not guilty to charges of escape from criminal arrest, two misdemeanor counts of resisting or obstructing an officer, and misdemeanor disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 12. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Aug. 12.

Bond was set at $2,500 cash for Randy Joseph Micolichek, 29, Green Bay, after he was charged with two counts of hit-and-run causing injury and a misdemeanor count of causing injury by operating while under the influence, in connection with a July 11 crash on U.S. Highway 141 and Chicken Shack Road in the Town of Stiles. A preliminary hearing was later set for Aug. 16.

Bond was set at $2,500 cash for William A. Riskus, 36, Oconto, after he was charged with two counts of felony bail jumping and misdemeanor resisting or obstructing an officer, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred July 12. A preliminary hearing was later set for July 22.
