Proceedings of Feb. 17

A Feb. 25-26 jury trial was postponed for Crystal G. Robenhorst, 39, Lena, who is charged with nine counts of forgery-uttering alleged to have taken place Aug. 30-Sept. 6, 2018. Her attorney filed a demand for a speedy trial, and a status conference was scheduled for March 13.

Dennis A. Jeffrey, 64, Green Bay, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over on charges of felony theft in a business setting and 11 related misdemeanors, in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred Aug. 2, 2018, and May 23, 2017. Arraignment was scheduled for March 12.

Chad C. Henden, 43, Oconto, pleaded no contest to substantial battery in connection with an incident that occurred Aug. 4, 2018. Related charges and a bail jumping charge from last May 28 were dismissed but read into the record. Judge Michael T. Judge scheduled sentencing for April 20 and ordered a presentence investigation.

Judge Jay N. Conley placed Sarah J. Hujet, 36, Oconto Falls, on two years probation after imposing and staying a one-year county jail term on charges of maintaining a drug trafficking place and misdemeanor child neglect, in connection with an incident that occurred April 5. During probation she must maintain absolute sobriety and comply with any and all recommendations and evaluations of the Departments of Corrections and Health & Human Services. She may have no contact with co-defendant Paul Baugnet or any person using or selling drugs.

Paul J. Baugnet, 42, Oconto Falls, was sentenced to 12 months in the county jail for maintaining drug trafficking place as a repeat offender, in connection with an incident that occurred April 5. He was given Huber work-release and good-time privileges along with credit for 80 days already served. A Jan. 23 case of bail jumping was dismissed but read into the record.

Adam Joseph Potopa, 40, Pulaski, pleaded not guilty to child enticement by exposing himself in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Oct. 19, 2016. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for April 17.

Joshua J. Young, 26, Oconto, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over on charges of second-degree recklessly endangering safety and child abuse, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Oct. 1. Arraignment was scheduled for March 12.

Caleb J. Hudson, 26, Bonduel, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over on charges of child abuse-recklessly causing harm and misdemeanor disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Dec. 18. Arraignment was scheduled for March 12.

Michael Joseph Frank Ponton, 26, Gillett, pleaded not guilty to two counts of charges of felony child abuse recklessly causing great harm, misdemeanor resisting or obstructing an officer, and two counts of disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Jan. 6. A status conference was scheduled for April 16.

Matthew B. Gilmour, 20, Neenah, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over on charges of felony burglary and misdemeanor counts of misdemeanor resisting or obstructing an officer, criminal damage to property, possession of drug paraphernalia, and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Jan. 18. He is scheduled to enter pleas on April 2.

Bailey John Skrobel, 23, Green Bay, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to charges of possession of a firearm by a felon and misdemeanor resisting or obstructing an officer, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Dec. 5. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for March 12.

Proceedings of Feb. 14

Frank R. Thorpe, 35, formerly of Sobieski, was sentenced to three years in prison, followed by two years of extended supervision, for possession of narcotic drugs, in connection with an incident that occurred July 1. The sentence is consecutive to a prison term he is already serving from another county.

Judge Michael T. Judge placed James E. McDonald on two years of probation after imposing and staying a nine-month county jail term for misdemeanor child neglect, in connection with an incident that occurred last April 4. In a plea agreement, a felony child neglect charge was dismissed but read into the record. During his probation McDonald must maintain absolute sobriety and full-time employment and may have no contact with the victim’s mother or any of the mother’s children.

Cameron J. Gretzon, 19, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over on charges of strangulation-suffocation, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred last Feb. 26, and misdemeanor sex with 15-19, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred last Feb. 24. Arraignment was scheduled for April 16.

A $5,000 signature bond was approved for Joseph R Arndt, 38, Gillett, who is charged with second-degree recklessly endangering safety, misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Oct. 20. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for March 16.

Proceedings of Feb. 13

A bench warrant was authorized for Jacob W. Bubb, 26, Suring, after he failed to appear for a court hearing on charges of substantial battery and misdemeanor criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 10, 2019.

A June 17 jury trial was scheduled for R. Brandon Bender, 34, Antigo, who is charged with strangulation and suffocation and misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred July 5. A final pre-trial conference was scheduled for June 8.

A bench warrant was authorized for Lily Ali Miller, 22, Suring, after she failed to appear for a status conference on charges of possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a drug trafficking place, and felony bail jumping in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred July 23 and and Aug. 15.

Randy R. SanRoman, 40, Green Bay, pleaded not guilty to a charge of possession of THC (second and subsequent offense), and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Sept. 27. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for April 16.

Tambra A. Hrabik, 40, Oconto, pleaded not guilty to a charge of straw purchasing of firearm, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Sept. 29. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for April 16.

Michael J. Grover, 52, Gillett, pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree sexual assault and misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Oct. 10. A status conference was scheduled for March 12.

Christopher C. Royce, 32, Mountain, pleaded not guilty to two counts of first-degree child sexual assault, and two counts of child enticement for sexual contact, in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred July 7 and Nov. 23. A jury trial was scheduled to begin May 19, with a final pre-trial conference set for May 12.

Jasmine Skye Williams, 27, Keshena, pleaded not guilty to a charge of reckless driving causing great bodily harm, in connection with a crash that occurred Nov. 5 on County Road VV near County Road HH in the town of Underhill. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for April 16.

Mary K. Krueger, 52, Gillett, pleaded not guilty to a charge of battery to a commission warden, along with misdemeanor charges of theft, criminal trespass and two counts of disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Dec. 17. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for March 12.

A bench warrant was authorized for Melanie L. Nelson, 54, Minot, North Dakota, after she failed to make her initial appearance on a charge of misappropriating ID information to obtain money, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Nov. 29.
