Proceedings of Nov. 5

Paul D. Chartrand, 36, Oconto Falls, was placed on three years probation after a 10-year sentence was imposed and stayed for witness intimidation with the use of or attempted force, in connection with an incident that occurred April 12. A charge of burglary while armed with a dangerous weapon was dismissed but read into the record. Judge Michael T. Judge ordered that Chartrand serve 365 days in the county jail, although he receives credit for 208 days already served. During probation Chartrand must maintain absolute sobriety and undergo any assessments and treatment required by the Department of Corrections, including alcohol and other drug abuse, mental health and moral reconation therapy.

Cole Brian Nowinski, 24, Little Suamico, was placed on two years probation after a 3½-year sentence was imposed and stayed for fleeing an officer in his vehicle, in connection with an incident that occurred March 30. A misdemeanor count of resisting or obstructing an officer was dismissed but read into the record. Judge Michael T. Judge ordered that Nowinski spend 80 days in the county jail and, during probation, that he maintain absolute sobriety and undergo alcohol and other drug abuse assessments and follow through with recommended treatment and/or counseling.

Adam J. Julius, 19, Oconto Falls, pleaded no guilty to a charge of battery by a prisoner, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred June 9. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Dec. 13.

Angela D. Hawkins, 33, Abrams, pleaded not guilty to charges of felony child neglect and misdemeanor child neglect, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 4. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Dec. 12.

Proceedings of Nov. 4

Holly T. Santa-Ana, 30, Burke, Virginia, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over on a charge of first-degree reckless homicide in the drug-related death of Christian Matelski in Gillett, Jan. 3, 2016. Arraignment was scheduled for Dec. 12.

Jesse James Peterson, 37, Berlin, pleaded no contest to charges of false imprisonment and misdemeanor battery, in connection with an incident that occurred July 14. Judge Jay N. Conley scheduled sentencing for Dec. 20 and ordered a presentence investigation.

Andrew Thomas Dupuis, 34, Porterfield, pleaded no contest to theft of movable property, in connection with an incident that occurred Jan. 26, and was sentenced to six months in prison followed by one year of extended supervision. A charge of misappropriating ID information to obtain money was dismissed but read into the record. The prison sentence is consecutive to a term he is already serving in a Marinette County case.

Jerome A. Otradovec, 64, Suring, pleaded no contest to a charge of theft and was fined $330.50, in connection with an incident that occurred July 1. The charge was reduced from a felony count in a plea agreement. He has already paid restitution in the case.

Nathan S. Borkovec, 34, Lena, pleaded not guilty to a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (fourth offense), in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Aug. 4. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Jan. 16.

Julie A Harteau, 61, Coleman, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over on charges of manufacture and delivery of methamphetamine, maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession of methamphetamine precursors, possession of paraphernalia to produce methamphetamine, in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred Jan. 1 and Sept. 6. Arraignment was scheduled for Dec. 12.

Patrick E. Mocco, 62, Coleman, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over on charges of manufacture and delivery of methamphetamine, maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession of methamphetamine precursors, possession of paraphernalia to produce methamphetamine, in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred Jan. 1 and Sept. 6. Arraignment was scheduled for Dec. 12.

After a preliminary hearing Greylyn M. Gilson, 53, Coleman, was bound over on charges of manufacture and delivery of methamphetamine, maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession of methamphetamine precursors, possession of paraphernalia to produce methamphetamine, in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred Jan. 1 and Sept. 6. Arraignment was scheduled for Nov. 14.

Nova J. Winans, 20, Oconto Falls, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over on charges of possession with intent to deliver amphetamine, possession with intent to deliver designer drugs, possession with intent to deliver THC, and maintaining a drug trafficking place, in connection with an incident that occurred Oct. 3. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Dec. 12.
