Proceedings of Aug. 16

A Dec. 10-11 jury trial was scheduled for Brynn M. Larsen, 29, Oconto Falls, who is charged with repeated sexual assault of the same child, second-degree sexual assault of a child, and two counts child enticement, in connection with incidents that allegedly took place during the fall of 2013. A final pre-trial conference was scheduled for Dec. 2.

Kevin A. Westphal, 44, Suring, pleaded no contest to a charge of misdemeanor theft and was sentenced to 90 days in jail, in connection with an incident that occurred in April 2012. The charge was amended from a felony, and the conviction clears up a bench warrant that was issued in July 2013 after Westphal failed to appear for a previous court hearing. The sentence is to be served concurrently with a prison sentence levied in Marinette County for failure to provide child support.

Brent W. Walker, 35, Gillett, pleaded no contest to charges of possession of methamphetamine, and misdemeanor operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (third offense), in connection with an incident that occurred Dec. 1.He was immediately sentenced to 62 days in the county jail and his license was revoked on the OWI, and Judge Jay N. Conley scheduled sentencing on the felony charge for Oct. 1.

Christopher M. Earley, 44, Oconto, pleaded not guilty to injury by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle and injury by use of vehicle with a prohibited blood-alcohol content, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Jan. 26. A Sept. 18 preliminary hearing was also scheduled on charges of second-degree sexual assault and misdemeanor disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Dec. 16, 2018.

Proceedings of Aug. 15

A bench warrant was issued for Brittney M. Rankel, 30, Suamico, after she failed to appear for a court hearing on charges of burglary and misappropriating ID information to obtain money, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred June 21.

A bench warrant was issued for Brandon E. Schley, 31, Green Bay, after he failed to appear to enter a plea to a charge of misappropriating ID information to obtain money, in connection with an incident that allegedly took place Feb. 27.

A bench warrant was issued for Lily Ali Miller, 22, Suring, after she failed to appear for a court hearing on charges of possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a drug trafficking place, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred July 23.

A bench warrant was issued for Darrick P. Jordan, 42, Green Bay, after he failed to appear for a court hearing on charges of possession of THC with intent to deliver, as well as misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Aug. 4.

Justin J. Coppens, 29, Gillett, pleaded not guilty to a charge of possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a felony, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Oct. 6, and bail jumping for an incident that allegedly occurred March 21.

Emerson K. Reed III, 33, Green Bay, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over on charges of misappropriating identity information to obtain money and misdemeanor resisting or obstructing an officer and operating a motor vehicle while his license was revoked, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Sept. 24, 2018. Arraignment was scheduled for Sept. 12.

Crystal G. Robenhorst, 39, Lena, pleaded not guilty to nine counts of forgery-uttering alleged to have taken place Aug. 30-Sept. 6, 2018. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Sept. 12.

Faith M. Kaminski, 19, Lena, pleaded not guilty to charges of taking and driving a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent, and misdemeanor criminal damage to property, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Oct. 29. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Sept. 12.

Jennifer Dawn DeHart, 39, De Pere, pleaded not guilty to possession of methamphetamine, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred March 16. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Sept. 12.

Travis J. Gagnon, 21, Oconto, pleaded not guilty to charges of possession of THC (second or subsequent offense) and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 14. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Sept. 12.

Deirdre R. McSherry, 51, Gillett, pleaded not guilty to two counts of theft in a business setting, in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred Jan. 30 and April 18. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Oct. 17.

Nicole L. Bergquist, 46, pleaded not guilty to charges of strangulation-suffocation and misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 27. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Sept. 12.

Clinton Ray Samsa, 28, Peshtigo, pleaded not guilty to a charge he possessed drug paraphernalia to manufacture, compound, convert, produce or store methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 23. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Sept. 12.

Proceedings of Aug. 14

Jesse J. Vanhecke, 33, Coleman, pleaded no contest to possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia in connection with an incident that occurred Aug. 30, 2018. Judge Michael T. Judge accepted a deferred prosecution agreement on the felony charge and placed Vanhecke on one year of probation with conditions including that he maintain absolute sobriety and full-time employment.

Brittany C. Fagerstrom, 32, Townsend, pleaded no contest to possession of methamphetamine (second and subsequent offense) and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle while revoked, in connection with an incident that occurred April 16, 2018. Judge Michael T. Judge accepted a deferred prosecution agreement on the felony charge and placed Fagerstrom on two years of probation with conditions including that she maintain absolute sobriety and full-time employment. He also imposed and stayed a one-year sentence in county jail.

Dustin Richard Giesel, 32, Rapid River, Michigan, was placed on three years probation and sentenced to nine months in the county jail possession with intent to deliver THC and misdemeanor possession of cocaine, in connection with an incident that occurred March 12. An 18-month prison sentence followed by two years of extended supervision were imposed and stayed but could be implemented should he violate probation conditions, which include that Giesel maintain absolute sobriety and undergo an alcohol and other drug abuse assessment, following through on any and all recommendations.
