Proceedings of March 24

• George K. Watruba, 62, Marinette, was placed on one year of probation after a one-year county jail sentence was imposed and stayed for possession of methamphetamine, in connection with an incident that occurred Sept. 6. Judge Jay N. Conley ordered that the sentence include 20 days in the county jail. Among other conditions, Watruba must maintain absolute sobriety during his probation, undergo an alcohol and other drug assessment and follow through with any recommended treatment or counseling.

• Joey E. Kingsley, 42, Oconto, pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that occurred June 10, 2021. In a plea agreement, a felony charge of escape from criminal arrest and three other misdemeanors were dismissed but read into the record. Marinette County Judge Jane M. Sequin assessed fines and court costs of $599.

• Steven Edwards Cocorikis, 38, Gresham, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to burglary to a building or dwelling, maintaining a drug trafficking place and misdemeanor criminal damage to property, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 19, 2022. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for June 15.

Proceedings of March 21

• Bond was set at $5,000 cash for Phleecee K. Young, 21, Oconto, after she was charged with two counts of possession of methamphetamine, two counts of felony bail jumping, two misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of possession of THC, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred March 18. Her initial appearance was adjourned until April 13.
