Proceedings of Aug. 12

• Bond was set at $25,000 cash for Adrian Avila, 22, Green Bay, after he was charged with possession with intent to deliver amphetamine or methamphetamine, bail jumping and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Aug. 9. His initial appearance was adjourned until Sept. 15.

• Bond was set at $7,500 cash for Clayton R. Frehse, 18, Suring, after he was charged with second-degree recklessly endangering safety and three misdemeanor counts of bail jumping, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Aug. 10. His initial appearance was adjourned until Sept. 15.

Proceedings of Aug. 11

• A Dec. 13-14 jury trial was scheduled for Joey J. Vandewettering, 59, formerly of Gillett, on charges of attempted first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree reckless endangerment, battery to a law officer and misdemeanor battery, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 1. A final pre-trial conference was scheduled for Nov. 15.

• An arrest warrant was issued for Minogheezhig Sandman-Shelifoe, 37, Baraga, Michigan, after he failed to make a court appearance for possession of narcotic drugs and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Dec. 3, 2020.

• Mark J. Verhagen, 58, Lakewood, was ruled not competent to stand trial on charges of first-degree reckless endangerment and misdemeanor counts of intentionally pointing a firearm at a person, resisting or obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 23. Judge Jay N. Conley ruled there is a likelihood Verhagen could regain competency with treatment. Conley scheduled a review for Nov. 1.

• Carla Renee Cooper, 44, Mountain, pleaded not guilty to felony bail jumping, possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 20. She is also awaiting trial on charges of burglary and misdemeanor theft of movable property, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred June 12, 2020. A pre-trial conference in both cases was scheduled for Oct. 13.

• Melissa M. Wolf, 38, Oconto, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to possession of methamphetamine, bail jumping and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred July 23. She also faces allegations of bail jumping, possession of methamphetamine, possession of THC (second and subsequent offense) and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred March 19. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Oct. 17.

• Daniel R. Williams, 29, Keshena, pleaded not guilty to felony bail jumping, criminal damage to property and possession of burglarious tools, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 2. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Oct. 13.

• Philip J. Zenisek, 36, Kaukauna, pleaded not guilty to the manufacture of THC with intent to deliver and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Oct. 13, 2021. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Sept. 15.

• Michelle D. Sturdevant, 56, Oconto, pleaded not guilty to second-degree recklessly endangering safety, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 30, and bail jumping, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred June 18. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Sept. 15.

• Ben E. Noack, 46, Lena, pleaded not guilty to second-degree sexual assault of an unconscious victim and misdemeanor bail jumping, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 24, and three counts of felony bail jumping, in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred June 27 and July 7. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Oct. 13.

• Crystal Lynn Peterson, 47, Marinette, pleaded not guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 19. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Oct. 13.

• Bond was set at $5,000 cash for Suzanne Louise Heroux, 63, Crivitz, after she was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (fourth offense) and misdemeanor operating while revoked, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Aug. 10. Her initial appearance was adjourned until Sept. 15.

Proceedings of Aug. 10

• Christopher M. Early, 47, Oconto, pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (first offense) and disorderly conduct, in connection with a crash that occurred Jan. 26, 2019. A related felony count was dismissed in a plea agreement. Judge Jay N. Conley imposed fines and costs totaling $1,992.

• A Jan. 18-19 jury trial was scheduled for Joey E. Kingsley, 41, Oconto, who is charged with escape from criminal arrest, two misdemeanor counts of resisting or obstructing an officer and misdemeanor disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 12, 2021. A final pre-trial conference was scheduled for Dec. 20.

Proceedings of Aug. 8

• A jury trial was rescheduled for Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 for David W. Parmentier, 71, Suring, on charges of second-degree reckless endangerment and misdemeanor charges of resisting or obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred June 27, 2019. A final pre-trial conference was set for Nov. 18. Brown County Judge Beau Liegios is hearing the case because the defendant is an Oconto County Board supervisor.
