Proceedings of Sept. 17

Judge Jay N. Conley approved an agreement to consolidate two criminal cases against Victor J. Alberts, 55, who is charged with 24 felonies — including three counts of repeated sexual assault of the same child, nine counts of child abuse, five counts of causing mental harm to a child and two counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child, among other related charges that allegedly occurred from 2005 to 2016, as well as two counts of felony child abuse and four counts of misdemeanor disorderly conduct, for incidents that allegedly occurred Dec. 1, 2019, and Jan. 17, 2020. He is scheduled to stand trial beginning Sept. 27 in a trial that is expected to take up to four days.

A Feb. 10-11 jury trial was scheduled for Randall J. Robenhorst, 60, Little Suamico, who faces three counts of first-degree child sexual assault, child enticement and three other felony counts, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 27. A final pre-trial conference was scheduled for Jan. 31.

Cory Lee Lohman, 39, Shawano, pleaded no contest to possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a felony and a misdemeanor count of failure to obtain approval for deer hunting, in connection with an incident that occurred Nov. 7, 2020. Judge Jay N. Conley scheduled sentencing for Nov. 17 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

Christopher E. Kilgore, 43, Chicago, was placed on two years’ probation after a prison sentence was imposed and stayed for felony bail jumping, in connection with an incident that occurred May 6. Judge Michael T. Judge said probation conditions include 134 days already served in the county jail and no possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages. He is prohibited from contact with a co-defendant and must undergo an alcohol and other drug abuse assessment and follow through with any recommended treatment or counseling.

Joseph E. Longsine, 22, Oconto Falls, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to circuit court on a charge of forgery-uttering, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Oct. 29, 2020. A plea hearing was scheduled for Oct. 18.

Roger J. Borkovec, 43, Oconto, pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of possession of THC, in connection with an incident that occurred June 15. The charge was amended from a felony count. Judge Jay N. Conley sentenced him to 94 days already served in the county jail and assessed court costs of $463.

Proceedings of Sept. 16

Oconto County charges were formally dismissed against Chasity M. Denny, 31, Oconto, after the April 2019 charges of possession with intent to deliver amphetamine and misdemeanor possession of cocaine were consolidated with a Marinette County case. She was sentenced May 25 to six years at Taycheedah State Prison followed by 10 years of extended supervision.

A March 8-9 jury trial was scheduled for Phillip John Waupoose, 37, Neopit, on charges of substantial battery intending bodily harm, intimidating a victim by damaging property, false imprisonment, misdemeanor criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred March 29, 2020. A final pre-trial conference was set for Feb. 28.

A Jan. 19-20 jury trial was scheduled for Tyler J. Wolf, 31, Oconto, on two counts of felony bail jumping, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 25, as well as strangulation and suffocation and misdemeanor counts of battery, criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Oct. 15, 2020. A final pre-trial conference was set for Jan. 3.

A March 8-9 jury trial was scheduled for Brody J. Tappa, 35, Oconto, who faces two counts of victim intimidation, child abuse recklessly causing harm, false imprisonment, substantial battery, and misdemeanor counts of battery and theft of movable property, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred July 1, 2020. A final pre-trial conference was scheduled for Feb. 28.

A bench warrant was ordered for Robert P. Shampo Jr., 29, Peshtigo, who failed to appear for a court hearing on charges of fleeing an officer in a vehicle (second and subsequent offense), possession of THC (second and subsequent offense), and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle while revoked, and failure to install an ignition interlock device, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Oct. 21, 2020, as well as felony bail jumping and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred March 9. The court was told Shampo is in custody in Marinette County after being arrested for speeding Sept. 13.

A Jan. 4-5 jury trial was set for Taylor R. Peterson, 29, Wabeno, who is charged with three counts of possession of narcotic drugs and misdemeanor counts of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (second offense), possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred March 22. A final pre-trial conference was set for Dec. 13.

Allan C. Evans, 34, Abrams, pleaded not guilty to operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (fourth offense) and misdemeanor counts of operating while revoked, resisting or obstructing an officer, possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred March 31. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Oct. 14.

A Feb. 8-9 jury trial was scheduled for Jacob M. Samsa, 31, Oconto, on two counts of second-degree recklessly endangering safety, two misdemeanor counts of battery and misdemeanor disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 22. A final pre-trial conference was set for Jan. 28.

Andrew J. Pecor, 36, Oconto, pleaded not guilty to possession of methamphetamine and possession of narcotic drugs, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred June 14. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Nov. 11.

Cindy M. Earley, 53, Oconto, pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of child abuse intentionally causing harm and misdemeanor counts of bail jumping and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred June 23. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Oct. 14.

Randy Joseph Micolichek, 29, Green Bay, pleaded not guilty to two counts of hit-and-run causing injury and a misdemeanor count of causing injury by operating while under the influence, in connection with a July 11 crash on U.S. Highway 141 and Chicken Shack Road in the Town of Stiles. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Oct. 14.

A bench warrant was issued for Donavan Bryan Ducane, 22, Suring, after he failed to appear in court to face a charge of sex registry violation, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 8.

James Christopher Knudsen, 20, Cecil, pleaded not guilty to attempted possession of an electric weapon and misdemeanor counts of resisting or obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Aug. 4. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Oct. 14.

Judge Jay N. Conley accepted the prosecutor’s motion and dismissed the case against Jordan Aaron Belongia, 18, Oconto, who had been charged with taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent and criminal damage to property in an Aug. 24 incident.

Bond was set at $10,000 cash for Brett A. Harvey, 26, Oconto, after he was charged with second-degree recklessly endangering safety in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 4. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Oct. 18.
Proceedings of Sept. 15

An arrest warrant was authorized for Dylan M. Hendzel, 21, Oconto, after he failed to appear for his initial appearance on charges of felony bail jumping, misdemeanor bail jumping and two counts of disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred June 27.

Proceedings of Sept. 14

Ben D. Kingsley, 42, Lena, pleaded not guilty to charges of strangulation-suffocation, false imprisonment, and misdemeanor battery, disorderly conduct and bail jumping, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred March 11. A pre-trial hearing was scheduled for Oct. 21.

Kevin Miguel Reed, 20, Three Lakes, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to three counts of armed robbery, two counts first-degree reckless endangerment, and one count each of burglary and theft, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred June 4. A pre-trial conference was scheduled for Nov. 11.

Proceedings of Sept. 13

A Jan. 19-21 jury trial was scheduled for Ryan Paul Winslow, 27, Oconto Falls, who is charged with second-degree sexual assault, victim intimidation, stalking, harassment, two misdemeanor counts of making computer threats, and disorderly conduct in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred in December 2019. A final pre-trial conference was set for Jan. 14.

A jury trial was rescheduled for Nov. 9 for Micky W. Michalak, 53, Oconto, on charges of taking and driving a vehicle without the owner’s consent and misdemeanor counts of criminal damage to property and resisting or obstructing an officer, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 18. A final pre-trial hearing was rescheduled for Nov. 8.

Proceedings of Sept. 10

A Feb. 16-17 jury trial was scheduled for David W. Parmentier, 70, Suring, on charges of second-degree reckless endangerment and misdemeanor charges of resisting or obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred June 27, 2019. A final pre-trial conference was set for Jan. 24. Brown County Judge Beau Liegeios is hearing the case because the defendant is an Oconto County Board supervisor.
