Proceedings of July 31

Bond was set at $5,000 cash for John E. Timm, 41, Oconto Falls, after he was charged with possession of child pornography, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred July 29. His initial appearance was adjourned until Aug. 13.

Bond was set at $2,500 cash for Christopher Alan Barstow, 36, Marinette, after he was charged with possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle while his license was revoked, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred July 29. His initial appearance was adjourned until Aug. 13.

Proceedings of July 30

A 12-person jury trial was rescheduled for Sept. 9-10 for Curt Porath, 48, Oconto, who is charged with manufacture and delivery of amphetamine, possession of methamphetamine precursors, bail jumping, possession of paraphernalia to produce methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine waste and possession of methamphetamine, in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred Jan. 1 and Sept. 6, 2019. In an earlier case, he faces two other counts of manufacture or delivery of methamphetamine, in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred March 21 and March 22, 2018. A motion hearing and final pretrial conference were scheduled for Aug. 28.

Charges were dismissed without prejudice against Leighanne Robinson, 35, Hortonville, who had been charged with burglary, bail jumping and misdemeanor criminal damage to property, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Jan. 18.

Richard R. Volm, 59, Pound, pleaded no contest to possession with intent to deliver narcotics, in connection with an incident that occurred Nov. 7. Judge Michael T. Judge scheduled sentencing for Sept. 16 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

Caleb Richard Hardy, 23, Suamico, pleaded no contest to a charge of false imprisonment, in connection with an incident that occurred Sept. 12. Judge Michael T. Judge scheduled sentencing for Sept. 21 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

Dane L. Ades, 57, Oconto, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to charges of attempted second-degree sexual assault, strangulation and suffocation, possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a drug trafficking place and misdemeanor disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 24. A pretrial conference was scheduled for Sept. 17.

Casey J. Grams, 31, Oconto Falls, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over on a charge of issuing worthless checks, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Oct. 9. Arraignment was scheduled for Aug. 13.

Travis George Knipp, 39, Oconto Falls, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over on charges of possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred June 1. Arraignment was scheduled for Aug. 13.

Dyllon Drake Edwards, 24, Oconto, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to strangulation-suffocation, misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred June 11. A pretrial conference was scheduled for Sept. 17.

Proceedings of July 29

Bond was reduced from $10,000 to $5,000 cash for Greylyn M. Gilson, 54, Lena, who has been in custody for nearly a year on charges of manufacture and delivery of methamphetamine, maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession of methamphetamine precursors and possession of paraphernalia to produce methamphetamine, in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred Jan. 1 and Sept. 6, 2019. He is scheduled to stand trial Sept. 9-11, with a final pretrial conference Aug. 17.

Anthony R. Mork, 28, Suring, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine in connection with an incident that occurred May 5. Judge Jay N. Conley scheduled sentencing for Sept. 29 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

Mark J. Pagenkopf, 50, Abrams, pleaded not guilty to charges of being felon in possession of a firearm and misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Dec. 13. A pretrial conference was scheduled for Sept. 17.

Paula J. Petersen, 59, Lena, pleaded not guilty to charges of strangulation and suffocation, misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 25. A pretrial conference was scheduled for Sept. 17.

Joseph Lee Corsten, 22, Luxemburg, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over on charges of second-degree recklessly endangering safety, fleeing an officer in a vehicle and misdemeanor counts of criminal damage to property and causing injury with an ATV/UTV while intoxicated and with a prohibited alcohol content, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred May 16. Arraignment was scheduled for Sept. 17.

Proceedings of July 28

Nicole M. Brewer, 36, Pulaski, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over on charge of child neglect causing great bodily harm, four counts child neglect causing bodily harm and two counts child neglect causing emotional damage, in connection with alleged incidents at her child care center from 2018 to 2020. Arraignment was scheduled for Oct. 15.

A three-day jury trial starting Jan. 20 was scheduled for Aaron Hames Haun, 43, Abrams, who faces four counts first-degree sexual assault of a child younger than 13, one count of victim intimidation and one count of false imprisonment, in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred Jan. 1, April 1 and July 19, 2019. A motion hearing was set for Dec. 11 and a final pre-trial conference for Jan. 12.

Travis L. Lacount, 42, Oconto Falls, pleaded not guilty to two counts possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a felony, in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred Nov. 23 and Nov. 26. A pretrial conference was scheduled for Sept. 17.

An Oct. 29 jury trial was scheduled for Kevin J. Dotson, 36, Wauwatosa, on a a felony charge of bail jumping, along with misdemeanor counts of resisting an officer, battery and disorderly conduct, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred April 4. A final pretrial conference was scheduled for Oct. 19.

Proceedings of July 27

Bond was set at $150,000 cash for Kyle Andrew Collins, 32, Shawano, and at $25,000 cash for Jessica M. Hensel, 30, Suring, who are each charged with possession with intent to deliver amphetamines and possession with intent to deliver heroin, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred July 23. Their initial appearances were adjourned until Aug. 13.

A three-day jury trial starting Jan. 20 was scheduled in the case of Cade Wied, 19, Sobieski, on charges of second-degree reckless homicide, second-degree reckless injury and two counts of knowingly driving with a suspended license in connection with the Dec. 14, 2018, crash that killed 14-year-old September Deneys and injured Wied and another youth. A final pretrial conference was scheduled for Jan. 4.

A Jan. 28 jury trial was scheduled for David R. Smith, 52, Oconto, who is charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (fifth or sixth offense), along with misdemeanor operating while revoked, in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred Jan. 4, 2019. A final pretrial conference was scheduled for Jan. 19.

Alexandria Tonya Beres, 19, Shawano, formerly of Lena, pleaded no contest to stalking and misdemeanor charges of reckless driving-endangering safety and operating a motor vehicle without a valid license on her person, in connection with incidents that occurred Sept. 10 and Oct. 21. Judge Michael T. Judge fined Beres $267.50 on the license violation; on the other charges, he scheduled sentencing for Sept. 18 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

Proceedings of July 24

Pamela M. Firgens, 64, Suring, pleaded no contest to operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (fifth offense), in connection with a Sept. 27 accident in the Town of Maple Valley, and bail jumping, in connection with an incident that occurred March 11. Judge Beau G. Liegeois placed her on three years of probation, beginning with one year in the county jail, and levied $5,457 in fines, court costs and fees. During probation her license is revoked, and she must have ignition interlock devices installed in any cars she owns or operates. Firgens was given credit for 149 days already served in jail.
