New Pensaukee River highway bridge opens in Krakow

KRAKOW — The new state Highway 32 bridge over the Pensaukee River opened to traffic at noon Nov. 8, reopening an artery into Oconto County that had been closed and detoured since Aug. 19.

The $918,921 project replaced the existing structure with a new bridge and retaining walls. Project work also includes box culvert wing replacement and box culvert surface repair at two locations near the bridge.

Culvert work will continue with shoulder closures on southbound Highway 32 just north of Gohr Road and just south of Van Dornick Road.
