Menominee community to receive federal funding to create safer roads

The Menominee Indian Tribal Community is among eight Wisconsin communities that will receive a total of $11,320,258 in federal discretionary funds through the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant program to improve roadway safety, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

This is the second round of the SS4A Grant Program through the U.S. Department of Transportation.

The Menominee Indian Tribal Community will receive $54,990.

Funding will support communities to implement planning, infrastructure, behavioral and operational initiatives to prevent death and serious injury on roads and streets.
