Mary P. Naber

Mary P. Naber, 62, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mary was born March 28, 1959, to the late John and Margaret (Powers) Naber in Shawano.

She was born in Shawano, attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from Shawano High School. After moving to Minnesota, Mary worked as a resident assistant for Courage Center in Golden Valley for several years, and as a personal care attendant for individuals with spinal cord injuries.

In December 1998, Mary had a brain aneurysm and lived in supported living situations after that. For many years until her death, she was a resident at the ACR Skycroft home in St. Anthony, Minnesota. She enjoyed the company of her housemates there and appreciated the care of the ACR Skycroft staff. Mary was a devoted daughter and sister, and a loving aunt to her two nephews and one niece.

Mary is survived by her siblings, Charley, Tom, Andy, (Dorie, wife) Paul and Therese; nephews, Matthew (Katlynn and children Shiloh, Tucker, Greyson and Jackson) and Daniel; and niece, Anne.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Margaret; and one sister, Martha.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Scott Valentyn officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021, at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Masks are requested for visitation and service.
