Marty J. Carpenter

Marty J. Carpenter, 54, Bonduel, died unexpectedly Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021, at ThedaCare Medical Center in Waupaca, following injuries from a motor vehicle accident. He was born July 4, 1967, to Hollis and Lucy (Oskey) Carpenter.

Marty was a 1985 graduate of Seymour High School, and he continued his education at UW-Oshkosh, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1989. He was united in marriage to Rochelle Toellner on Oct. 3, 1992, and the couple had one son. Marty began working in the banking industry immediately after graduating from college, and he worked at various banks in the area over the years. He was employed as the executive vice president of Bonduel State Bank.

Marty enjoyed hunting and riding his motorcycle and 4-wheeler. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his son, Ben Carpenter; his special friend, Rae Johnson; his father, Hollis Carpenter; four siblings, Cindy (Steve) Diemel, Connie (Rick) Furman, Mark (Faye) Carpenter and Mike Carpenter; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Marty was preceded in death by his mother, Lucy Carpenter.

Visitation will take place Friday, Sept. 10, 2021, from 3 p.m. until the time of services at 5:30 p.m. at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Pastor Moira Finley officiating.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

The family extends a special thanks to the first responders and emergency medical technicians who cared for Marty at the time of his accident, as well as the staffs of ThedaCare regional medical centers of Appleton and Waupaca for all their care and concern.
