Lillian V. Korth

Lillian V. Korth, 90, of Embarrass, formerly of the Angelus Retirement Community in Clintonville, passed into heaven Sunday afternoon, Aug. 4, 2013, at the Pine Manor Health Care Center in Embarrass. Lillian was born on June 20, 1923, in the town of Fairbanks, Shawano County, as the daughter of the late Emil and Johanna (Michel) Menge. She graduated from Tigerton High School in 1940 and was later united in marriage to Arwerd Korth on Jan. 31, 1941. Together they shared 64 years of marriage until Arwerd’s passing on June 4, 2006. Lillian was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed decorating her home and playing cards with her sisters and their group of lady friends. One of her greatest joys was going for a ride in the country. Lillian was also fascinated by the clouds, as they always seemed to make her smile. Survivors include her children, Karolyn (Mike) Capion, of Green Bay, Jeanne Lilly, of Pella, Karson (Merry) Korth, of Clintonville, and Keith (friend Jerry Levine) Korth, of Forestville; four grandchildren and two great-grandsons; a sister, Evelyn Kriewaldt, of Embarrass; a sister-in-law, Norma Zuhse; and many nieces and nephews. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Arwerd, four brothers, and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013, at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano with the Rev. Ted Andrada officiating. Interment will be at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Embarrass. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory in Clintonville is assisting her family with the arrangements. Lillian’s family would like to thank Dr. Fang and the staff at Pine Manor-Memory Lane for all their kindness.
