Library summer program begins June 3

The Shawano County Library’s summer reading program begins June 3 and runs through Aug. 3 to encourage reading all summer long. There are four age-based reading programs to join — early literacy for 0-2 years old; children for 3-12 years old; teen for 12-18 years old; and adult for anyone 18 and older.

Registration is available by visiting any of the six Shawano County Library locations, or online on the library’s website: Then participants can pick up or print a punch card or reading log.

In addition to the independent reading portion, many programs, crafts and activities are planned at the library throughout the county. From outdoor movie nights to escape rooms to survival classes to do-it-yourself experiences, there is something for everyone. Program times and locations are located on the library’s Facebook page and online at Full program brochures are available to pick up at any library.
