LETTER: Democrats care about schools, health care

To the editor:

Who should I trust?

I have grandchildren, and I’m really worried about their future opportunities. Today, these kids are having a good day, but what’s it going to be like for them in the future?

Will they have good health care, so they’ll grow up strong? Will they have good schools for them? Can we even find enough public school teachers? When they grow up, will these kids be able to find a decent job in our community, or will they have to move away? These are the things I’m worried about.

What I know is that Republicans are blocking the federal money that would help make health care more affordable, and they are constantly diverting our tax dollars away from our rural public schools in order to fund private schools.

Democrats have consistently supported fair school funding and access to reliable health care, and you should, too. If you are worried about the future for our kids, you should verify your voter registration, request a ballot and vote Democrat this fall. We can trust them to help rural Wisconsin and the kids.
