Lanette Kuhn

By:

Lanette (Bonnin) Kuhn, 60, Pulaski, died Wednesday, March 31, 2021, in Arizona. She was born Jan. 25, 1961, to Donald and Loila (Bartelt) Bonnin.

Lanette grew up on the family farm in Cecil, learning how to do chores at a young age. She graduated from Bonduel High School in 1979. She lived in Cecil until 2000 and then moved to Laona where she began working at Blackwell Job Corps. This job was her passion as she organized games, activities and mentored students.

She also helped with lending camp crews to help with the wildfires out west and organized a clean-up crew in New Orleans during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Her students meant the world to her, and she was very happy to keep in touch with them and watch them grow after she retired in 2015.

Lanette enjoyed going to movies, playing outdoor games, camping, traveling and going to concerts. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Lanette is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Kuhn, and her children, Mayzie, Korbin, and Emmett Hill; a son, Zachary (Becca) Kuhn, and their daughters, Kylie and Kadence Kuhn; her father, Donald (Becky) Bonnin; a sister, Luanne (Bob) Cathey; brother, Lonnie Bonnin; and 17 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Loila Bonnin; maternal grandparents, Ervin and Ruth Bartelt; paternal grandparents, Waldemar and Hazel Bonnin; and an uncle, Lloyd Bonnin.

A celebration of Lanette’s life will be held in summer 2021.
