Katherine S. Thomson

Katherine S. Thomson, 40, of Chicago, formerly of Coleman, went home to Heaven on April 17, 2021, just five days after her 40th birthday. Addiction may have taken her life, but Jesus won and now this beautiful soul is living pain-free with light, love, and spirit. Letting go of hope for recovery one more time, we will hold the memories, pictures, and messages close to our hearts until we meet again.

Kathy had a very special gift and loved working with people with disabilities. She also enjoyed helping the elderly. As a child, one of her favorite pastimes was visiting her great Aunt Vi in the elderly apartments.

Kathy loved her children the most in life. She adored her 13 nieces and nephews and had been looking forward to meeting her two great-nephews.

She leaves behind her children, Nicholas (Lily) Thomson, Jordan Thomson, and Madison Thomson. Loving parents, Charles and Dawn Schuh, father, Ron Thomson, sisters, Jennifer (Steve) Paulson, and Rebecca Lee. Brothers, Jeremy (Stacy) Thomson, Cody (Stephanie) Lee and Dan Thomson, special friend, Juan and their daughter Emily. Further survivors include, grandparents, Tom and Judy Lee and Ron and Karen Thomson, Many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home Coleman is assisting the family.
