Joann M. Streblow-Kuehl

Joann Marilyn Streblow-Kuehl, 86, Pulaski, passed peacefully in her sleep on Dec. 4, 2020. She was born June 6, 1934, in Oconto Falls to the late Sylvester and Norma (Hanson) Streblow. She grew up in Morgan and Green Valley where her parents opened a cheese factory.

Joann graduated from Gillett High School in 1952 and then married James Kuehl. They raised their five children in Gillett while operating the Kuehl Furniture Store. Joann was very involved with her children’s nightly sporting events. During her valuable spare time, she enjoyed her involvement with the Gillett Woman’s Club. In addition, she relished ladies nights of bridge club and bowling. Other hobbies included baking, sewing and crafts. Moving to Green Bay in 1984, Joann worked at Sears for several years and then Employers Health Insurance for over 10 years where she retired.

She is survived by her five children, Tom (Michelle) Kuehl, Green Bay, Steven Kuehl, Lena, Gary (Calla) Kuehl, Fond du Lac, Laura Kuehl, Suamico, Kevin Kuehl, Green Bay; her brother Curt (Irene) Streblow, Kelley Lake; her sister Sue Norris, Normal, Illinois; special daughters-in-law, Sonja Kuehl and Winette Werner; 12 grandchildren, Jessica, Stefanie, Christie, Douglas, Jordan, Allyssa, Tanner, Elayna, Cameron, Kyrstin, Tessa and Nora; 11 great-grandchildren, Rylee, Caylee, Adylee, Gracie, Grant, Graeden, Jacxson, Tyson, Amelia, Blake and Isla.

Joann’s true love was her family. She was very close with her two brothers and especially her little sister Susie and enjoyed spending time with them at Kelly Lake in the summers. She was the most unselfish woman, with a sense of humor like no other. Known for her homemade chocolate birthday cake, banana bread, monkey bread and exceptional Christmas cookies, her recipes will be passed on for generations to come. Joann always said, “Having kids is one of the best gifts in life, but having grandchildren is priceless.” Her legacy lives on in each and every one of them.
