Jerry Saxton

By:

Jerry J. Saxton, 57, of Neenah, passed away on Monday, Feb. 1, 2021, at his home. He was born on July 4, 1963, in Madison to the late John and Nancy (Pok) Saxton. Jerry graduated from La Follette High School in Madison. He went on to continue his education by receiving a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin.

In his younger years, Jerry loved to tell people that the fireworks on the Fourth of July were for him because of his birthday. He moved to and lived in Neenah for quite some time, and he worked using his degree as an electrical engineer in the paper industry throughout the Fox Valley. Jerry loved camping, boating, deer hunting and a wide variety of outdoor activities. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and greatly enjoyed joining friends and family at Road America Elkhart Lake for the INDYCAR races and, of course, he enjoyed watching the Packers.

Left to cherish Jerry’s memory are his brother, Bill Saxton, and his children Cassandra and her spouse, Jacob and his spouse and their children; uncle Jerry and aunt Marge Pok; along with cousins Kevin, Suzy, Dean, their spouses and children; and a small army of devoted and loving friends.

He will be missed, and may his memory always be a blessing.

A memorial service for Jerry will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Kelliher officiating. Friends may call the funeral home on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service.
