VOLLEYBALL

Bonduel 0

Shawano cruised past Bonduel in a nonconference match in Shawano on Monday. The Hawks won by scores of 25-17, 25-9, 25-15.

The match served as the annual pink-out game between the teams to fight cancer. This year’s match was especially meaningful with Shawano junior Abby Tuma battling a form a brain cancer.

Rachel Reed and Abi Vomastic each finished with 10 total kills for Shawano in the win, while Katelyn Wilber had seven total kills, 13 assists and seven digs. Alixandrya Heath tallied 10 assists, while Margo Gull had five digs and four assists.

Allaina Robaidek posted seven assists, three digs and two kills for Bonduel, while Brenna Hertzfeldt had seven digs and two kills. Mandi McClone finished with three digs and three total kills. Halea Sporisky and Nicole Koeller had two kills each.

Green Bay West 1

It was a night of firsts for Shawano during its Bay Conference road win over Green Bay West on Monday.

The win was Shawano’s first in conference play this fall, while Wylee Springborn, J.J. Pyatskowit and Caio Panise each scored their first varsity goals.

Michael Klement powered the Hawks, scoring three goals and assisting on two others. Owen Moesch and Chris Etori added two goals each, while Carson Cummings scored the other goal.

Kaden Cox, Jared Sackett and Pyatskowit all spent time defending the goal, with Cox stopping four shots and Sackett making one save. Lance Huebner was credited with two assists.

Shawano came up short in a home match against Fox Valley Lutheran on Monday.

Rylie Anderson picked up Shawano’s lone win in No. 4 singles play, while the No. 3 doubles team of Grace Licausi and Nicole Piantek earned the lone doubles victory.
