GIRLS GOLF

Shawano girls 3rd at Bay meet

The Shawano girls placed third at the Bay Conference Tournament Meet at Wander Springs Golf Course on Tuesday in Greenleaf.

Taylor Johnson and Teghan Kristof led Shawano with 18-hole rounds of 95. Emily Heling (110), Riley Dreier (114) and Hannah Seehafer (119) filled out the team.

Bonduel placed fourth and was led by Ava Pleshek's round of 102. Thea Tauchen fired a 108, while Sydney Luepke shot a 109. Sarah Garside (113) and Kerry O'Harrow (121) rounded out the team.

Shawano and Bonduel are scheduled to compete in a makeup meet Thursday before regionals next week.

VOLLEYBALL

Gresham 3

Marion 0

Gresham swept Marion by scores of 25-12, 25-16, 25-13 in a Central Wisconsin Conference-North Division match on Tuesday in Gresham.

Valarie Cerveny had 16 kills for Gresham, while Kalayla Tucker tallied 14 digs and 13 service points. Destiny Reindl had 11 service points on the night. Makayla Belongia finished with six kills and Addi Boucher had nine digs.

Witt-Birn 3

Iola-Scandinavia 0

Wittenberg-Birnamwood swept Iola-Scandinavia by scores of 25-17, 25-16, 25-19 in a CWC-East match Tuesday in Wittenberg.

Emma Herb led Witt-Birn with eight attack kills, while Reese Rogowski had four attack kills and four aces. Jadalynn Davids contributed four attack kills, while London Metropulos had five block kills.

Lilly Betry finished with seven assists and five aces for the Chargers, while Payton Foster served three aces. McKenna Foster totaled seven digs.

Amherst 3

Bonduel 2

Bonduel came up just short in a CWC-East battle on Tuesday in Amherst. Amherst won by scores of 22-25, 25-15, 25-16, 22-25, 15-10.

Josie Hoffman and Allaina Robaidek had nine attack kills each for Bonduel, while Kylie Hoffman had seven. Robaidek led the team with 17 assists, while Hailee Thompson had 12.

Josie Hoffman also had six blocks, while Macy Niles and Nakiyah Henning posted eight digs each.

Seymour 3

Shawano 0

Shawano was swept by scores of 25-21, 25-22, 25-12 in a Bay Conference match against Seymour on Tuesday in Seymour.

Rachel Reed recorded 11 total kills and four aces for Shawano. Alix Heath tallied 16 assists, while Freya Dickson had six digs.

Shawano was unable to secure any wins in a Bay Conference match against Xavier on Tuesday in Appleton.

Emma Krueger and Sophia Hanauer put up Shawano's best battle at No. 3 doubles.
