Shawano swept Menasha in a Bay Conference match on Thursday in Menasha.

Anna Cuenca (No. 1), Jenna Ainsworth (No. 2), Grace Licausi (No. 3) and Nicole Piantek (No. 4) earned singles wins for the Hawks. Ainsworth and Licausi each rallied for wins after dropping the first set.

The duos of Kate Williams and Rylie Anderson (No. 1), Emma Krueger and Jillian Black (No. 2) and Sophia Hanauer and Kloie Boyles (No. 3) won in doubles action for Shawano. Williams and Anderson also came back after dropping the first set.

Singles: No. 1: Anna Cuenca S def. Katelyn Raab, 6-1, 6-2; No. 2: Jenna Ainsworth S def. Charley Muller, 1-6, 6-2, 6-3; No. 3: Grace Licausi S def. Claire Calkins, 3-6, 6-2, 6-1; No. 4: Nicole Piantek S by forfeit, 2-0, 2-0.

Shawano takes first in Bay meet

Shawano won its second Bay Conference meet of the season, posting a score of 206 at Crystal Springs Golf Course in Seymour.

Teghan Kristof led the Hawks with a nine-hole round of 49, while Taylor Johnson carded a 50. Emily Heling fired a 52 and Hannah Seehafer and Riley Dreier each shot 55s.

Bonduel finished fourth at the meet with a team score of 243. Ava Pleshek led the Bears with a round of 53. Sydney Luepke (61), Thea Tauchen (63), Sarah Garside (66) and Kerry O'Harrow (67) filled out the five-golfer team.

Team scores: 1. Shawano 206; 2. West De Pere 210; 3. Xavier 212; 4. Bonduel 243; 5. Oconto 251; 6. Seymour 258.

CROSS-COUNTRY

Shawano teams split with West De Pere

Shawano split its Bay Conference meet with West De Pere on Thursday in De Pere. The Shawano girls posted a perfect score (15) to top West De Pere (41) while the Shawano boys tallied a 34, behind West De Pere's 21.

Odessa Arce won the girls race in 20 minutes, 41 seconds. Lydia Beyer and Grace Beyer took second and third, respectively, after posting times of 21:17. Grace Chelberg (21:22) was fourth, and Lily Guenther (21:33) came in fifth.

Ethan Onesti (18:09) was the top finisher for the Shawano boys, coming in third. Aiden Preston (18:29) was fifth, while Connor Chelberg (18:32) took seventh. Will Chelberg (18:47) and Andon Chelberg (18:47) rounded out the team score, placing ninth and 10th, respectively.

Marinette 83

Witt-Birn 77

Wittenberg-Birnamwood fell just short in a Bay Conference dual against Marinette on Thursday in Marinette.

The Witt-Birn 400-yard freestyle relay team of Alexa Chaney, Olyvia Stark, McKenna Metropulos and Annika Resch ended the night with a first-place finish in 4:05.45.

Individually, Metropulos won the 100 butterfly (1:02.26). Stark claimed the top time in the 200 freestyle (2:22.29) and Resch took first in the 200 IM (2:29.85).
