Wittenberg-Birnamwood claimed a back-and-forth Central Wisconsin Conference-East Division battle against Amherst on Tuesday in Wittenberg. The Chargers won by scores of 25-22, 20-25, 25-14, 16-25, 21-19.

Reese Rogowski tallied 18 total kills for Witt-Birn, while Emma Herb had 15 attack kills. London Metropulos had three block kills.

Payton Foster recorded 17 assists and served six aces for the Chargers. Lilly Betry led the team with 23 assists, while McKenna Foster had a team-leading 26 digs.

Bonduel 3

Weyauwega-Fremont 0

Bonduel swept Weyauwega-Fremont in CWC-East play on Tuesday in Weyauwega. The Bears won by scores of 25-19, 26-24, 25-8.

Josie Hoffman was credited with five kills, four solo blocks and four aces for Bonduel. Allaina Robaidek recorded 10 assists and seven kills.

Hailee Thompson led the Bears with 13 assists, Macy Niles contributed 10 digs and Nakiyah Henning had four kills.

Shawano 78

Wittenberg-Birnamwood won eight of 11 varsity events to edge Shawano in a Bay Conference dual on Tuesday in Wittenberg.

The Chargers 400-yard freestyle relay team of Alexa Chaney, Jalynn Horacek, Jessica Storlie and McKenna Metropulos placed first in 4 minutes, 30.72 seconds. Storlie, Chaney, Olyvia Stark, and Annika Resch teamed up for a top finish in the 200 freestyle relay (1:54.5), while Stark, Resch, Metropulos and Emma Herb formed the top-finishing 200 medley relay (2:06.4).

Individually, Metropulos won the 200 IM (2:20.61) and 100 butterfly (1:03.02), while Resch claimed the 100 freestyle (59.3) and 100 backstroke (1:10.08). Stark took first in the 200 freestyle (2:19.76).

Gabi Bukoski led Shawano with first-place finishes in the 100 breaststroke (1:24.45) and 500 freestyle (6:16.92). Isabel Colon won the 50 freestyle (28.01).
