Clintonville 3

Shawano 1

Clintonville won the final two sets to upset Shawano in a Division 2 regional quarterfinal match in Shawano on Tuesday. The 10th-seeded Truckers won by scores of 25-12, 13-25, 25-20, 25-23.

It was a balanced team approach that helped Clintonville pull off the upset. The Truckers took the first set behind strong serving before pulling away in tight third and fourth sets.

Clintonville will travel to take on second-seeded Denmark on Thursday in a regional semifinal.

Seventh-seeded Shawano was led by Rachel Reed, who had 12 total kills and 13 digs. Brianna Wright added seven attack kills and six digs, while Avery Dreier had eight total kills. Katelyn Wilber had 13 assists and nine digs, while Faith Passehl had 11 assists.

Wittenberg-Birnamwood 3

Coleman 0

Fifth-seeded Wittenberg-Birnamwood took care of business in its Division 3 regional quarterfinal home match against 12th-seeded Coleman on Tuesday, winning by scores of 25-15, 25-15, 25-12.

Abi Fraaza led Witt-Birn with 14 total kills, while McKenna Metropulos had 19 assists. Elizabeth Muscha finished with 12 digs and three aces.

The Chargers will travel to take on fourth-seeded St. Mary Catholic on Thursday in a regional semifinal.

“It was a nice win for the first round of playoffs,” said Witt-Birn coach Becky Rew. “We had several four-plus point runs that kept the momentum going for us. We need to carry this momentum into the game on Thursday.”

Gresham 3

White Lake 0

Top-seeded Gresham cruised to a Division 4 regional quarterfinal win over White Lake in Gresham on Tuesday. The Wildcats won by scores of 25-10, 25-15, 25-8.

Jayden Jensen finished with seven kills to lead Gresham, while Makayla Belongia had six. Brooklyn Hoffman tallied 12 assists and Valarie Cerveny had 12 service points.

Gresham will host fifth-seeded Suring on Thursday in a regional semifinal.

Bowler 3

Marion 0

Second-seeded Bowler swept seventh-seeded Marion in a Division 4 regional quarterfinal in Bowler on Tuesday. The Panthers won by scores of 25-19, 25-5, 26-24.

Alyssa Strassburg totaled seven attack kills, eight assists and six aces for Bowler, while Kayla Pecore had seven total kills and 13 aces. Brooke Thiex added six total kills and 12 assists, while Ireland DeRoos finished with seven total kills and five digs.

Bowler will host third-seeded Gillett in a regional semifinal on Thursday.

Crivitz 3

Bonduel 0

Bonduel was swept in a Division 3 regional quarterfinal at Crivitz on Tuesday. The 14th-seeded Bears lost by scores of 25-20, 25-7, 25-18.

Third-seeded Crivitz will host sixth-seeded Pacelli on Thursday in a regional semifinal.

Josie Hoffman led Bonduel with 13 digs and six kills. Macy Niles tallied 14 digs, while Brenna Hertzfeldt contributed four kills.

"They started nearly all seniors and at moments I think that their experience showed. We battled pretty well the first and third games, but we weren’t ever fully able to get our offense rolling," said Bonduel coach Abby Reinke.

"With losing only two seniors, we will return quite a few girls so I hope that the returning players can use this year as a learning and building year. And we thank our seniors for the effort and leadership they gave the team this season."

Prentice 3

Tigerton 0

Tigerton, a No. 14 seed, was swept by Prentice in a Division 4 regional quarterfinal on Tuesday in Prentice.

Third-seeded Prentice won by scores of 25-19, 25-11, 25-10 and will host sixth-seeded Loyal in a regional semifinal on Thursday.

Colleen Smith and Savannah Swartz each had six total kills for Tigerton, while Adrienne Brady totaled 11 assists and 10 service points. Ladia Block tallied 11 digs, while Abby Swartz had three attack kills.

"The Lady Tigers served, passed, set and dug the ball extremely well tonight," said Tigerton coach Holly Meverden. "They played one of their best skilled matches of the season, but were overcome by the more experienced Prentice team."

Lourdes Academy 3

Menominee Indian 1

Menominee Indian battled, but came up short in a Division 3 regional quarterfinal against second-seeded Lourdes Academy in Oshkosh on Tuesday. The 15th-seeded Eagles lost by scores of 22-25, 25-14, 25-13, 25-23.

Lourdes Academy will host seventh-seeded Amherst on Thursday in a regional semifinal.
