Shawano tops New London in duals

The Shawano boys and girls teams earned dual wins over New London on Thursday in New London. The boys posted a score of 19, with New London at 43, and the Shawano girls tallied a 21, with New London at 34.

Ethan Onesti won the boys race in 17 minutes, 58.5 seconds to lead the Shawano boys. Aidan Preston (18:49.4) came in third, while Andon Chelberg (19:00.4) was fourth. Will Chelberg (19:07.3) and Alec White (19:09.3) placed fifth and sixth, respectively to cap the team score.

Odessa Arce (20:47.9) took second to lead the Shawano girls. Grace Beyer (21:40.1), Lydia Beyer (21:43.6) and Grace Chelberg (21:46) took third, fourth and fifth, respectively, while Lilly Guenther (22:08.8) finished seventh.

Witt-Birn 1

Wittenberg-Birnamwood dropped a Central Wisconsin Conference crossover match at Rosholt on Thursday, losing by scores of 26-24, 16-25, 25-16, 26-24.

London Metropulos had 13 total kills for the Chargers, while Emma Herb and Reese Rogowski each added nine attack kills. Jadalynn Davids finished with 12 total kills.

Payton Foster led Witt-Birn with 16 assists, while Lilly Betry had 15. McKenna Foster was the team leader in digs with 33.
