WRESTLING

Bonduel finishes 2-1 at quad

Bonduel earned dual wins over Amherst (41-36) and Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol (48-30) and dropped a matchup to Southern Door (51-30) during a quad on Jan. 7 in Bonduel.

Donovan Vigue, Kaden Bergsbaken, Luis Lagunes, Tyson Bogacz and Max Sokolski all finished 3-0 on the night to lead Bonduel.

Cooper Salerno, Jayson Toellner and Parker Perry all had two wins for the Bears.

Shawano wins 2 duals

Shawano earned dual wins over Green Bay West/East/Southwest (76-4) and Xavier (53-21) on Jan. 7 in Shawano.

Brady Stomberg, Drake Herm, Damien Wudtke, Wyatt Brandt, Reef Anthony, Carter Schmidt, Colten Herm, Caden Young, Andrew Popp and Gage Timm earned wins for Shawano against Xavier.

Brandt and Noah Jones had wins by pin against Green Bay West/East/Southwest. Stomberg, Drake Herm, Wudtke, Marcus Koehler, Anthony, Schmidt, Colten Herm, Young, Popp, Timm and Quardell Littleowl all won by forfeit.

Sheldon Krueger, Kadin Ihrke, Carsen Herm, Aidyn Poquette, Alex Kohn and Brady Gylsch earned varsity reserve wins on the night for the Hawks.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Peshtigo 41

Bonduel 33

Bonduel lost a low-scoring nonconference battle to Peshtigo on Jan. 7 in Peshtigo.

Brett Margelofsky led Bonduel with 11 points after hitting three 3-pointers. Carson Robaidek added 10 points.

Bonduel, which trailed 26-15 at halftime, had just four total players score.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Bonduel 48

Crandon 46

Bonduel topped Crandon in a nonconference showdown on Jan. 7 in Crandon. The Bears trailed by as many as seven points in the contest.

Kara Troxel scored 14 points to lead Bonduel, while Brenna Hertzfeldt and Breanna Schnell each added nine points. Hertzfeldt grabbed 11 rebounds and Kylie Hoffman dished out five assists.

"It was a great test for us and we played with very good composure," said Bonduel coach Jerry Reinke. The Bears had their last three postseasons ended by Crandon.
