BOYS BASKETBALL

Bowler 75

Phelps 35

Bowler eased to a nonconference victory over Phelps on Jan. 5 in Bowler.

Logan Thiex knocked down eight shots and a pair of free throws to score 19 points and lead Bowler. Wylee Dodge hit six 3-pointers and had 18 points.

Emmitt Kietlinski contributed 14 points for the Panthers, while Ashwuut Mohawk had 12.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Gresham 77

Menominee Indian 53

Gresham took down Menominee Indian in a Central Wisconsin Conference crossover matchup on Jan. 5 in Gresham.

Alezaha King led Menominee Indian with 21 points, while Mariah Fish had 15 points.

Witt-Birn 54

Merrill 44

Wittenberg-Birnamwood overcame a slow start to top Merrill in a nonconference matchup on Jan. 5 in Wittenberg,

Witt-Birn trailed 15-5 early on but responded with a 16-4 run to end the half.

Emma Herb recorded 18 points and 12 rebounds to power Witt-Birn. Reese Rogowski added 14 points and three assists.

Jadalynn Davids grabbed six rebounds for the Chargers, while Amara Schoepke tallied five steals.
