Bowler 21

Bowler used a 31-0 run to seize control and run away with a Central Wisconsin Conference-North Division victory over Bowler on Jan. 14 in Tigerton.

Adrienne Brady scored 23 points to lead Tigerton offensively. Savannah Swartz added 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

Bethany Jobe recorded eight rebounds for the Tigers, while Ladia Block had five assists.

Brandi Spencer scored eight points for Bowler.

Witt-Birn 58

Manawa 31

Wittenberg-Birnamwood dominated the second half to finish off a CWC crossover win over Manawa on Jan. 14 in Wittenberg. The Chargers outscored the visitors 30-11 in the second half.

Reese Rogowski knocked down four 3-pointers and scored 22 points to lead Witt-Birn. Emma Herb added 15 points, while Jadalynn Davids had six.

Herb also recorded nine rebounds, while Davids had six. Rogowski was credited with three steals.

"We came out a little slow tonight but our 3-point shooting gave us the lead," said Witt-Birn coach Nick Mechelke. "Reese gave us great minutes tonight and provided a great spark throughout the game. In the second half we made some defensive adjustments which allowed us to stretch our lead."

WRESTLING

Shawano 66

New London 12

Shawano dominated New London in a Bay Conference dual on Jan. 14 in New London.

Carter Schmidt (152), Colten Herm (160), Gage Timm (195), Jackson Smits (220), Drake Herm (113) and Wyatt Brandt (132) all earned first-period pins for Shawano. Reef Anthony (138) won by pin in the third period.

Caden Young (170) and Noah Jones (145) earned tight decision wins for the Hawks. Andrew Popp (182), Brady Jones (285) and Brady Stomberg (106) earned forfeit wins.

Brady Jones, Alex Kohn, Emerson Prey and Aidyan Poquette won exhibition matches for Shawano.

Bonduel finishes 2-1 at home quad

Bonduel earned dual wins over Oconto (54-6) and Almond-Bancroft/Pacelli (54-6) while losing by tiebreaker to Kewaunee (31-30) during a quad on Jan. 14 in Bonduel.

Against Almond-Bancroft/Pacelli, every weight class was decided by forfeit. Luis Lagunes (126), Gavin Bougie (132), Jayson Toellner (138), Tyson Bogacz (145), Max Sokolski (152), Parker Perry (160), Donovan Vigue (170), Kaden Bergsbaken (195) and Cooper Salerno (120) earned forfeit wins for Bonduel.

Against Oconto, Sokolski (152) and Perry (160) won by first-period pins. Toellner (138), Bogacz (145), Vigue (170), Bergsbaken (195), Salerno (120), Lagunes (126) and Bougie (132) won by forfeit.

In the setback to Kewaunee, Vigue (182) earned a first-period pin. Salerno (120) won by technical fall and Bergsbaken (195) claimed a major decision win. Toellner (138), Sokolski (152) and Lagunes (126) earned decision wins, while Perry (160) won by forfeit.
