Menominee Indian escaped with a Central Wisconsin Conference-East Division win over Weyauwega-Fremont on Jan. 11 in Keshena.

Mariah Fish led Menominee Indian with 15 points. Kaysha Wilber added 12 points, while Alezaha King had nine points.

Tigerton 31

Stockbridge 27

Tigerton edged Stockbridge in a nonconference matchup on Jan. 11 in Stockbridge.

Elizabeth Robbins scored 14 points and had six steals to lead Tigerton.

Bethany Jobe added seven points for the Tigers. Jade Selle grabbed eight rebounds.

Amherst 49

Witt-Birn 27

Short-handed Wittenberg-Birnamwood fell short in a CWC-East clash with Amherst on Jan. 11 in Wittenberg.

Reese Rogowski scored 14 points to lead Witt-Birn offensively. Jami Wendler chipped in seven points.

Lilly Betry had four steals for the Chargers.

Bowler eased to a CWC-North win over Tigerton on Jan. 11 in Tigerton.

Emmitt Kietlinski scored 30 points to power Bowler, while Tristan Thiex added 20 points.

Beau Brunner hit three 3-pointers and finished with 11 points, while Wylee Dodge contributed nine points.

Zeke Griepentrog led Tigerton with 10 points, while Tyler Dent had nine. Maverick Maas tallied seven points.

Gillett dropped a Marinette & Oconto Conference clash to Oneida Nation on Jan. 11 in Gillett.

Jesse DeBauch led Gillett with 11 points, while Austin Vande Corput had nine.

Niagara 56

Suring 52

Suring fell just short in a M&O matchup with Niagara on Jan. 11 in Niagara.

Taron Haak scored 19 points to lead Suring. Ethan Lally hit five 3-pointers and had 17 points.

Jeremy Hensel added seven points for the Eagles.

WRESTLING

Lena goes 2-0 at triangular

Lena earned dual wins over Florence (29-12) and Elcho (30-6) during a triangular on Jan. 11 in Lena.

In the win over Florence, Dylan Comins had a 21-6 technical fall win at 106 pounds. Josh Kristof (170), Franky Umentum (182), Dylan Urbanek (285) and Sam Marquardt (138) picked up forfeit wins.

In the win over Elcho, Kristof (182) and Umentum (195) won by pin in the first period. Urbanek (285), Comins (106) and Marquardt (138) were winners by forfeit.
