BOYS BASKETBALL

Gillett 74

Coleman 62

Gillett dominated the first half and went on to pick up a big Marinette & Oconto Conference win over Coleman on Feb. 7 in Coleman. The Tigers led 44-26 at halftime.

Jesse DeBauch and Austin VandeCorput led Gillett all night, scoring 23 and 20 points, respectively. DeBauch hit four 3-pointers, while VandeCorput tallied 15 first-half points.

Ben Matczak chipped in 12 points for the Tigers. Aydin Franti recorded nine points.

Bonduel 75

Iola-Scandinavia 44

Bonduel outscored Iola-Scandinavia 45-19 in the second half to run away with the Central Wisconsin Conference-East Division battle on Feb. 7 in Iola.

Noah Weier hit three 3-pointers and scored 19 points for Bonduel. Ryan Westrich and Cade Johnson tallied 12 points each.

Colin Margelofsky contributed 11 points for the Bears. Owen Springborn tallied eight points, while Brodie Hartmann had six.

Bonduel hit 12 3-pointers in its 25 total field goals. The Bears were whistled for just nine fouls.

Shawano 64

New London 53

Shawano earned a Bay Conference road win over New London on Feb. 7 in New London.

Logan Sipple and Michael Metcalf-Grassman each scored 19 points to power Shawano.

Shawano's Brandon Reed tallied 12 points, while Jacob Landon had nine.

Assumption 53

Tigerton 34

Tigerton was outscored 25-12 in the second half of a nonconference game against Assumption on Feb. 7 in Tigerton.

Ryder Graham recorded 19 points for Tigerton.

Asher Michaelis tallied six points, six rebounds and six assists, while Maverick Maas had six points and four steals. Colby Wanta dished out six assists.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Gresham 51

Tigerton 22

Gresham earned a CWC-North win over Tigerton on Feb. 7 in Gresham.

Maddie Haffner hit six 3-pointers and scored 20 points for Gresham. Five of the triples came in the opening half.

Janay Pecore-Kirkland added eight points for Gresham, while Josie Cerveny had six.

Abby Swartz led Tigerton with 10 points, while Lillian Welch had six.

Bonduel 70

Wey-Fre 22

Bonduel dominated Weyauwega-Fremont in a CWC-East matchup on Feb. 7 in Bonduel. The Bears led 43-11 by halftime.

Ella Hischke totaled 20 points and four assists for Bonduel.

Hailey Zernicke contributed 15 points and eight rebounds for the Bears, while Kendra Troxel had 10 points and five steals.

Macy Niles hit three 3-pointers to score nine points for Bonduel, while Hailee Thompson pulled down eight boards.

Witt-Birn 78

Menominee Indian 38

Wittenberg-Birnamwood eased past Menominee Indian in a CWC-East clash on Feb. 7 in Keshena.

Reese Rogowski hit three triples and scored 23 points for Witt-Birn. Rory Salvesen added 21 points, while Melaina Granquist had 18. Faith Resch chipped in eight points.

Mariah Fish recorded 14 points to pace Menominee Indian. Ayanna Smith and Urijah Reevis had six points each.

Green Bay East 27

Shawano rolled to a Bay win over Green Bay East on Feb. 7 in Shawano.

Leah Nordin led Shawano with 24 points, while Abby Bystol had 15.
