BOYS BASKETBALL

Shawano 48

Seymour 36

Shawano earned a low-scoring Bay Conference win over Seymour on Feb. 16 in Shawano.

Michael Metcalf-Grassman and Jacob Landon powered Shawano, scoring 21 and 16 points, respectively.

Brandon Reed chipped in eight points for the Hawks.

Bonduel 79

Tomahawk 46

Bonduel rolled to a nonconference win over Tomahawk on Feb. 16 in Tomahawk.

Ryan Westrich tallied 25 points and 12 rebounds to power Bonduel.

Noah Weier finished with 11 points for the Bears, while Cade Johnson and Owen Springborn had 10 points each. Sam Roberts chipped in nine points, while Race Anvelink had six.

Bonduel's Colin Margelofsky dished out 11 assists.

Oneida Nation 56

Gillett 46

Gillett dropped a Marinette & Oconto Conference clash to Oneida Nation on Feb. 16 in Gillett.

Jesse DeBauch scored 13 points to pace Gillett.

Tyler Frank added 11 points for the Tigers. Austin VandeCorput chipped in 10 points, while Bradin Bjelland had six.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Witt-Birn 58

Wey-Fre 42

Wittenberg-Birnamwood topped Weyauwega-Fremont in a Central Wisconsin Conference-East Division contest on Feb. 16 in Weyauwega.

Rory Salvesen totaled 20 points and four steals for Witt-Birn, while Reese Rogowski had 18 points, five steals and four assists.

Faith Resch tallied 11 points, three assists and five steals for the Chargers. Melaina Granquist grabbed six rebounds.

Shawano 61

Xavier 45

Shawano earned a Bay Conference win over Xavier on Feb. 16 in Appleton.

Leah Nordin scored 27 points for Shawano.

Abby Bystol chipped in 11 points for the Hawks, while Ella Stuber had 10.

Bonduel 59

Iola-Scandinavia 23

Bonduel dominated Iola-Scandinavia on Feb. 16 in Bonduel to clinch the CWC-East title outright.

Ella Hischke knocked down three 3-pointers and scored 15 points for Bonduel. Hailey Zernicke added 11 points. Audrey Weier and Kendra Troxel each chipped in six points.

Weier and Troxel each grabbed seven rebounds, while Josie Anvelink had six. Hailee Thompson, Zernicke and Hischke dished out three assists each. Weier, Thompson and Hischke was credited with three steals each.

Central Wisconsin 13

Northland Pines 0

The second-seeded Central Wisconsin Storm rolled to a postseason win over the seventh-seeded Northland Pines co-op on Feb. 16 in Schofield.

Central Wisconsin, which has Witt-Birn's Marli Novy on the roster, will host the third-seeded Hayward co-op on Feb. 21 in its next postseason game.

BOYS HOCKEY

Rhinelander 2

Antigo 1 (OT)

Sixth-seeded Antigo had its season come to a close after an overtime playoff loss to the third-seeded Rhinelander co-op on Feb. 16 in Rhinelander.

Antigo, which has Witt-Birn's Owen Dickman on the roster, finished the year with a 10-14 overall record.

Fond du Lac 4

Ashwaubenon 0

Fourth-seeded Ashwaubenon fell in a playoff contest to the fifth-seeded Fond du Lac co-op on Feb. 16 in Ashwaubenon.

Ashwaubenon, which rosters several Pulaski players, capped the season with a 14-8-1 record.
