BOYS HOCKEY

Ashwaubenon co-op 7

Shawano co-op 0

The fourth-seeded Ashwaubenon co-op knocked off the 13th-seeded Shawano co-op during a Division 1 playoff game on Feb. 14 in Ashwaubenon. The hosts held a 55-6 shots on goal advantage.

Pulaski players led the charge for Ashwaubenon, with Caden Czyzewski powering the team with two goals. Anthony Steffen, Ethan Pullen and Braden Becks all netted one goal. Zach Wescott had two assists, while Steffen, Jackson Lampereur and Pullen had an assist each.

Pulaski's Lincoln Simons spent a little over half the contest defending the net, stopping three shots.

The Shawano co-op had two different goalies spend time defending the net, with Dylan Prochaska tallying 33 saves and Karson Stoss having 15 stops.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Lena 56

STAA 4

Lena eased to a Marinette & Oconto Conference win over St. Thomas Aquinas Academy on Feb. 14 in Lena.

Whitney Potter led Lena with 12 points, while Eva Brooks and Claire Brooks tallied 10 points each.

Kali Fischer contributed eight points for the Wildcats. Chaela Rabas chipped in seven points.

Gresham 50

Elcho 18

Gresham rolled to a nonconference win over Elcho on Feb. 14 in Elcho.

Chloe Bohl powered Gresham with 16 points.

Jessa Jensen added nine points for the Wildcats. Rylie Kakwitch totaled eight points, while Lexi Baddmoccosin-Barnes had six.

Witt-Birn 55

Wabeno/Laona 36

Wittenberg-Birnamwood knocked off Wabeno/Laona in a nonconference matchup on Feb. 14 in Wabeno.

Reese Rogowski finished with 18 points, nine rebounds, four assists and three steals for Witt-Birn.

Rory Salvesen added 17 points and four assists for the Chargers, while Melaina Granquist had eight points, nine boards and five steals. Faith Resch tallied eight points, seven rebounds and three steals.

Bonduel 73

Oconto Falls 29

Bonduel picked up its 19th win of the season after taking down Oconto Falls in a nonconference matchup on Feb. 14 in Bonduel.

Hailey Zernicke totaled 12 points and eight rebounds for Bonduel. Ella Hischke and Audrey Weier each scored 11 points, while Weier also had seven boards, five assists and four blocks.

Bonduel finished with 22 assists on its 32 field goals.

Ashlyn Allen scored 10 points to lead Oconto Falls offensively.

Oshkosh North 53

Shawano dropped a nonconference game to Oshkosh North on Feb. 14 in Oshkosh.

Leah Nordin scored 21 of Shawano's points.

Manitowoc Lincoln 45

Pulaski earned a Fox River Classic Conference win over Manitowoc Lincoln on Feb. 14 in Pulaski.

Derek Shaw hit four triples and led Pulaski with 22 points.

Brady Wotruba made five field goals and seven free throws on his way to an 18-point performance for the Red Raiders. Colin Schultz chipped in 10 points.

Shawano 64

Green Bay East 24

Shawano dominated Green Bay East in a Bay Conference game on Feb. 14 in Shawano.

Michael Metcalf-Grassman powered Shawano with 18 points. Logan Sipple added 13 points.

Jacob Landon scored all 12 of his points in the first half, while Brandon Reed chipped in six points.

Tigerton 49

Suring 31

Tigerton knocked off Suring in a nonconference matchup on Feb. 14 in Tigerton.

Ryder Graham totaled 17 points, seven rebounds and four assists for Tigerton. Colby Wanta added nine points, while Joey Zimdars had eight points and Sam Anheuser seven points and seven boards.

Asher Michaelis dished out seven assists for the Tigers.

Oconto Falls couldn't slow Wrightstown in a North Eastern Conference game on Feb. 14 in Oconto Falls.

Caden Birr scored 16 points for Oconto Falls.

Witt-Birn fell to Marathon in a nonconference clash on Feb. 14 in Marathon.

Mason Meverden hit four 3-pointers and scored 24 points to pace Witt-Birn.

Jett Rogowski was the only other player over four points for the Chargers, finishing with 19 points.
