BOYS BASKETBALL

Marion 61

Northland Lutheran 57

Marion grabbed the lead in the Central Wisconsin Conference-North Division after topping Northland Lutheran on Feb. 13 in Kronenwetter. Both teams had just one conference loss coming into the game.

Marion trailed by as many as 11 points in the first half but flipped the script and eventually led by 11 late in the contest.

Parker Miller and Ryan Malueg scored 19 points each for Marion. Izan Bueno chipped in 13 points.

Bonduel 65

Coleman 44

Bonduel cruised to a nonconference win over Coleman on Feb. 13 in Bonduel.

Cade Johnson knocked down three 3-pointers and led a balanced Bonduel attack with 17 points.

Charlie Tauchen added 12 points, while Ryan Westrich had 11 and Noah Weier 10. Owen Springborn tallied seven points, while Colin Margelofsky totaled six points.

Witt-Birn 42

Wittenberg-Birnamwood fell to Merrill in a nonconference clash on Feb. 13 in Wittenberg.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Menominee Indian 67

Green Bay East 40

Menominee Indian rolled to a nonconference win over Green Bay East on Feb. 13 in Green Bay.

Ayanna Smith hit seven 3-pointers and scored 28 points for Menominee Indian. Mariah Fish added 16 points, while Kaysha Wilber had six.

Emma Komanekin grabbed 14 rebounds for the Eagles. Smith also dished out five assists, while Lena Waukau and Ashlee Corn had three each.

Mason Meverden hit three 3-pointers and led Witt-Birn with 16 points. Marshall Fraaza was the only other Charger to score over four points, tallying nine.
