Bowler 27

Bonduel knocked off Bowler to win the Gresham Holiday Tournament title on Saturday in Gresham.

Kara Troxel poured in 29 points to go along with three steals and three assists. Allaina Robaidek added 14 points, five steals and five assists, while Brenna Hertzfeldt had nine points, three steals and four assists.

Troxel and Robaidek were named to the all-tournament team.

Washburn 31

Gresham doubled up Washburn in a Gresham Holiday Tournament consolation matchup on Saturday in Gresham.

Valarie Cerveny led Gresham by scoring 20 points, while Destiny Reindl finished with 17. Hannah Cerveny chipped in 14 points.

WRESTLING

Shawano drops final two duals at tournament

Shawano dropped duals to Merrill (39-34) and Waukesha South (36-35) on the final day of the Northern Exposure Tournament on Saturday in Merrill.

Keith Tourtillott (220), Gage Timm (160), Ben Carroll (152) and Carter Schmidt (145) won both of their matches to lead Shawano on the day.

Tourtillott, Timm, Carroll, Noah Jones (138) and Wyatt Brandt (126/132) all finished the two-day tournament with 6-1 records.

“We had our opportunities and could not capitalize on them,” said Shawano coach Mike Homan. “We have a lot of work to do and will be back at it this week before we go to Omro.”

Witt-Birn comes in 13th at classic

Witt-Birn took 13th place as a team at the two-day Lourdes On the Water Classic that wrapped up Saturday in Oshkosh. The Chargers scored 161 points.

Chad Moegenburg (126) led Witt-Birn with a fifth-place finish after posting a 5-2 record.

Pierson Potrykus (113) and David Gauderman (195) each placed sixth for the Chargers, while Wyatt Esker (145) came in seventh.

Bonduel takes 14th at classic

Bonduel came in one place behind Witt-Birn at the Lourdes On the Water Classic, placing 14th with 158 points.

Max Sokolski (138) led Bonduel with a third-place finish. He went 6-1 over the two-day tournament.

Isaac Banker (195) suffered his first two losses of the season, but still came away with a fourth-place finish for the Bears. Tyson Bogacz (120) placed seventh.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Gresham 43

Bonduel won the Gresham Holiday Tournament with a win over Gresham on Saturday.

Justin Bahr scored 14 points to lead a balanced Bonduel attack. Dylan Burch and Carson Robaidek added 12 points each, while Cole Letter had 11.

Letter and Burch were both named to the all-tournament team.

Lukas Pecore led Gresham by scoring 17 points.
