Shiocton 27

Bonduel toppled Shiocton in a competitive Central Wisconsin Conference dual on Thursday in Bonduel.

Jakob Froemming (152) earned Bonduel’s only pin of the night. Jayson Toellner (132) won by technical fall, while Max Sokolski (145) claimed a major decision win.

Luis Lagunes (126), Kaden Bergsbaken (170) and Tristan Tomashek (182) all won decisions, while Alex Garside (195) and Isaac Banker (220) won by forfeit for the Bears.

Shawano 51

Seymour 28

Shawano opened Bay Conference action with a dual win on the road over Seymour on Thursday.

Ben Carroll (160), Gage Timm (170), Trace Yeager (195), Keith Tourtillott (220), Nick Kohn (285), Colten Herm (145) and Carter Schmidt (152) all won by pin for Shawano.

Noah Jones (138) earned a decision win. Andrew Popp (182) won in an injury default.

"I was proud of the team tonight for attacking and going after aggressive positions," said Shawano coach Mike Homan. "We did some moving around tonight and I'm very proud of the kids stepping up and working hard to secure bonus point wins."

Tomahawk 114

Shawano 51

Shawano dropped a Great Northern Conference dual against Tomahawk on Thursday in Shawano.

Peter Fuller, Wylee Springborn and Josh Bergmann led Shawano on the individual side of things. Fuller came in second in the 200-yard IM and 500 freestyle. Springborn placed second in the 50 freestyle, while Bergmann finished second in the 100 freestyle.

Three Shawano relay teams also placed second.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Gresham 94

Tigerton 60

Gresham used a balanced scoring attack to power past Tigerton in CWC-North action on Thursday in Tigerton.

Lukas Pecore paced Gresham with 22 points, while Jake Hoffman had 20. Waylon Welch provided 15 points and Raven Bennett had 12. Lyle Welch chipped in eight points, while Will Jensen had seven.

Hoffman pulled down nine rebounds and had four steals. Bennett finished with six steals and four assists, while Belasaire Vele had seven rebounds.

Kaeden Miller scored 19 points for Tigerton. Austin Hoffmann and Allen Jobe chipped in 13 points each.

Bonduel 69

Weyauwega-Fremont 68 (OT)

Cole Letter helped Bonduel pick up a CWC-East win in overtime over Weyauwega-Fremont on Thursday in Weyauwega.

Letter scored a career-high 34 points, while also tallying eight assists and five steals. He made four 3-pointers and 10 free throws.

Carson Robaidek tallied 13 points for Bonduel, while Brody Wussow had nine.
