Oconto Falls 14

Oconto 12

Oconto Falls earned a thrilling win over Oconto in nonconference play after scoring a touchdown and converting a two-point conversion in the final minute of play Aug. 20 in Oconto Falls.

Quarterback Carter Hill tied the game at 12 after finding the end zone from two yards out with 38 seconds to play. Logan Seymour then converted a two-point conversion run to put Oconto Falls ahead for the first time in the game.

Isaac Raddatz intercepted a pass on the first play of the ensuing drive to seal the victory for the Panthers.

Hill also had Oconto Falls’ other touchdown, scoring on a one-yard run late in the third quarter.

Witt-Birn 53

Northland Pines 0

Wittenberg-Birnamwood routed Northland Pines in a nonconference matchup Aug. 20 in Eagle River.

Witt-Birn jumped out to a 12-0 lead after one quarter and never looked back in the lopsided win.

Pulaski 38

Green Bay Notre Dame 14

Pulaski pulled away in the fourth quarter to top Green Bay Notre Dame in a Fox River Classic Conference crossover matchup Aug. 20 in Green Bay.

Pulaski led 14-0 in the first quarter before taking a 21-14 lead into halftime. The Red Raiders led by the same score after three quarters before a strong final quarter helped the team seal the victory.

Aaron Maroszek rushed for 169 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries, while Maverick Cole had 109 rushing yards on 17 attempts. Brock Steinbrecher also rushed for a score and 97 yards, while Aidan McDougal had the team’s fourth score on the ground.

Derek Block passed for 42 yards and a touchdown to Maroszek. Jake Adams led the defense with 10 total tackles, while Max Burdette had nine total tackles and a forced fumble. Trevan Fatla posted five tackles and a sack.

Denmark 38

Shawano 27

Shawano fell short in a nonconference clash against Denmark on Aug. 20 in Denmark.

Shawano scored first but trailed 18-13 at halftime. Denmark scored again in the third quarter to extend its lead before both teams scored 14 points in the final quarter.

Shawano’s Carson Popp passed for 222 yards and three touchdowns. Elliott Lowney had 110 receiving yards and a touchdown on two catches, while Ashton Henning had two catches for 62 yards and a score. Jacob Landon had four receptions for 38 yards and the other score.

Andrew Popp rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown on eight attempts.

Shiocton 20

Bonduel 6

Bonduel was unable to hold on to a halftime lead in a nonconference setback to Shiocton on Aug. 20 in Shiocton.

The Bears led 6-0 at the break before Shiocton scored 20 unanswered points in the final half.
